About me: First and foremost, I like music. I seem to be getting old and have trouble making it to a sufficient amount of rock shows these days, but I do what I can and listen to bunches o' different shit. Yes, I can come up with my Top 5 Country Songs list upon request. Though I don't have the skills to be considered a real DJ, I do play records in a club or two here in Columbus. I currently play funk records with FunkDefy: After kicking off the New Year with jammy jams at The Circus and the Ravari Room, we are now in Christmas hibernation, to return in March! I write sporadically for notable Columbus-centric music website Donewaiting.com. Other writing projects are in the works when the time, energy, and internet present themselves. I have a day job as a Contracts/Financial Specialist, which is probably not your title. If you want more facts than this, I guess you'll have to ask.
Who I'd like to meet: Fellow Music Addicts. Especially those in Bustown, but all around the world as well. We probably have some tastes in common. And ladies are cool too.
Drew! Hope your birthday was as much fun for you as it was for us. Looking foreward to the next time we can come to town, till then...drink some PBR!!!
Hey, thanks again for the couch. I made it to St.L by 2 (I forgot about the time change) and it was an easy drive too. To report back, as I said I would, 670 was in fact a pleasant drive and worthy shortcut :) Take care!
Actually I didn't hear the original What Am I until after I remixed the joint. It was pretty frightening. It's the cleanest joint on the mixtape though. Glad you're liking it. Much props for checking it out
My drummer (Will Ong) was in the hospital from 7-28 to 8-08 with organized pneumonia, and chronic influencea & boop.
He has tiny holes in his lungs traping air in his chest, throat and sometimes shoulder blades. He had a lung byopsy almost three weeks ago that didn't help with the diagnosis. He also had a chest tube in him for a week along with a bronchoscopy. He eneded up leaving with 3 staples and 12 stitches in on his side along with a nice hole from the chest tube. He is currently home on an oxygen machine for 2 months. The doctors don't know if these holes in his lungs will seal up or if the infection will return so It might be longer.
There are a couple of benefit shows coming up to help Will pay for his $72,000 and rising hospital bill. On top of the several doctors I need to see in the next few weeks. One of hese shows is 9-12-08 @ the High Five.
If u could come out or help promote this benfit show and support a great drummer, musician and friend.
I tried to call you but I guess I never did get your new number, some who who 'ain't Andrew' answered the phone. BUT, YOU KNOW, whatever. I also apologize for any and all over-the-top drunk antics.
