Hey, this is the official myspace.com for Richard Lett, the one and only notorious stand up comic of Canada. I am one of the most imitated, scorned, talked about, and punched comedians ever. I am also a leading headliner, who was voted one of Vancouver's top comics for 2006 in the local media. My second CD, "At Least There's Drinking" has tracks running on XM Sattelite radio all the time, and I work regularly across Canada and the States. I find a lot of comedians are dorks, so I prefer to hang out with others from the artisitic world on my nights off. I, of course havemany friend's who are comedians, but it is not my idea of fun to hang out and talk shop all night. I find this can be quite depressing. I am often compared to George Carlin, and the moniker "Canada's George Carlin" has stuck. I appreciate the comparison, and I can see where it comes from, although I do think I have my own thing going. I, like most comedians, (certainly ones my age) was inspired by George, and certain approaches to comedy that he uses, I do too.
