Fur used in fashion in innately cruel.
The fact remains that the animals involved in fur fashion are either factory “farmed” or trapped. Factory-farmed animals are forced to spend their lives in squalid cramped conditions and are killed by cruel methods that preserve the pelt, such as gassing, neck-breaking, and anal electrocution, and they may even be skinned alive.
Trapped animals may remain in a painful trap or snare for several days before starving or slowly strangling to death. If still alive when the trapper finally comes back, they may be beaten over the head or shot. Trappers also catch “non-target” animals including birds, endangered species, and domestic dogs and cats.
Retailers have many choices when it comes to what makes up their inventory. Unfortunately, not all retailers have acknowledged that they directly contribute to a cruel and unnecessary industry when they sell fur.
Retailers must be aware that no fur garments are made compassionately.
Compassionate consumers like you can help by refusing to shop at stores that sell fur and by encouraging retailers to commit, in writing, to a no-fur policy and thus be recognized by the international fur free retailer program.

Recently, the Northern Territory government announced plans to kill 3000 camels by means of aerial shooting in the township of Docker River. Thirsty and in search of water, the camels converged on the community of Docker River. Instead of assisting the community by building barriers to keep the camels out of the township and investing in long term solutions such as research into birth control or the construction of a manmade waterhole for the camels to drink from, the government are planning to herd the animals away from the town, shoot them and leave their bodies to rot. Despite the outrage of thousands of concerned people from around the world, the Northern Territory government has given the green light for the cull to go ahead and thousands of scared camels are now being annihilated by marksmen from helicopters.
