Fury UK is emerging as one of the most widely-respected & exciting young hard rock/metal bands Britain currently has to offer. Both fans & media that have witnessed a Fury UK live show support their place as "future classics" - a title bestowed upon the band by FM Rock Radio in both the Manchester & Scottish regions & confirmed in their performances at the Bloodstock Festival, Bulldog Bash, Rock of Ages Fest, Monsters Of Mosh, & during 2009 on tour as main support with former Iron Maiden frontman Blaze Bayley :-
Powerplay Magazine (Monsters Of Mosh Festival) - "a real eye-opener in the live arena. Tight, energetic and extremely catchy .. the kind of metal I could listen to all night” (Mark Hoaksey)
Live4Metal (Bloodstock Festival) - "The applause per person ratio was deserved - let's have them back & on the main stage, this performance warrants that!"
The band draws impressively & respectfully from its' influences such as Iron Maiden, Megadeth, Dream Theater, Joe Satriani, Black Sabbath, Metallica & Rush. It's such rock/metal royalty that Fury UK will one day join if the reaction to live gigs is any kind of measure & all the more impressive for being delivered within the dynamics of a 3 piece :- Chris Appleton : lead vocals & lead guitar / Martin McNee : drums / Luke Appleton : bass guitar & backing vocals.
In 2007 Fury UK signed to independent label Rocksector Records (distributed through PlasticHead) & later that year the debut album "Face Of Adversity" was released. At that point it’s fair to say the band was still wrestling with its’ line-up & changes swiftly followed, resulting in the successful EP "Salvation", released in February 2008, again on Rocksector. This channelled the band's sound into the trademark that is now becoming recognised as a growing force in British rock/metal.
Fury UK’s 2nd full album entitled "VR" (released 13th July 2009, once again on Rocksector) is getting excellent early reviews & will further establish the band :- Get Ready To Rock - "excellent production and playing .. compelling with some proggy and unexpected touches .. the energy of a nascent Megadeth .. an excellent album". Mayfair Mallzine - "big riffs wrapped around a powerful vocal & thumping rhythm section .. an outstanding slice of metal .. showcases perfectly just how the band has matured.. guitar solos come thick and fast .. equalled by some great bass lines & a monster drum sound"
Fury UK has been honoured to play support to such bands as Blaze Bayley, Breed 77, Diamond Head, Beholder, Panic Cell, Tokyo Dragons, & also in the context of festival appearances be on the same bill as bands like Nightwish, Opeth, Dimmu Borgir, The Wildhearts. Such company is not beyond this band.
