Fury Within, formed in February of 2007, we are a local band from Hackettstown, New Jersey. Starting as a four man band with members that have been long time friends all coming together from our various local bands that we have played with previously. With our backgrounds being musically different, we created a somewhat unique blend of punk and metal to create our own style of transfusion. Having varying styles has led us to not be easily labeled and leads to our creativity using these styles for our own vision.
We chose the name, Fury Within, because we want to be the voice behind what people are feeling. Life has been very hard for many people, but most of us keep it bottled up inside just waiting to be unleashed. Our lyrics relate to these struggles and ideals that people endure. We touch on topics such as the level of gross ignorance, the lack of concern and consideration for our fellow persons and the blind arrogance of the society around us. As well as things that make us all angry, things that make us all hate one another needlessly, and things in life that are ripe for change.
As a band we are only interested in playing original live music that will hit people right between the eyes, and have them leaving our shows knowing they just saw a band who loves what they do, and entertained the hell out of anyone within earshot.
We want to thank everyone for their constant support and encouragement! We are grateful for all the friends and fans that are always there for us and come to the shows and support us! Also the other great bands we have met and formed a bond with! We all look after each other and support each other and that is what it is all about!
