About me:
FUSE GREEN - Visual Strategist-DJ Brooklyn, NY
- Wheat Bread Life creative director -Brooklyn, NY began his professional career at the age of 15, creating political cartoons and spot illustrations for local newspapers High Point Enterprise and Jamestown News. Fuse moved to Atlanta in 1993 to further develope his talent at the Art Institute of Atlanta. Within a few years he began working as an art director for Atlanta based "Nomenudum", a specialized creative agency creating acclaimed campaigns for Coca Cola, Sprite, Minute Maid, and Lugz. While working on commercial projects, he maintained his subculture influence through developing Frank 151 Magazine with friend Steve Malbon. In the 1990's Fuse contributed heavily to Atlanta's subculture rennasaince as a designer and dj in the legendary Ying Yang Club, Funk Jazz Café, Creative Control, Universal Zulu Nation and Realness Apparel.
In the summer of 2000, Marc Ecko(Ecko Unltd), recruited Fuse Green as one of their newest creative directors/designers landing him in NYC. In 2001 he created cover art for The Lyricist Lounge releases "Underground Airplay" and Mos Def's "Jam On It". Having created several successful seasons for brands such as Ecko, PNB Nation, and Rocawear to name a few, his work developed an enormous reputation and his style became synonymous with music and politics. He sites his influences as Ralph Bakshi, Romare Bearden, Phase 2, Syd Mead, Dawud Anyabwile, and Reid Miles.
In 2003 he partnered with GTM to form the lifestyle brand Wheat Bread. The Wheat Bread product line includes apparel, prints, dj accessories, and the I-Tunes based radio station "WheatBreadRadio" as well as exclusive creative projects. . "Music is a huge influence in my work" Fuse explains. "Thats sort of what the name is about, fusing music and visuals together". He collaborated with J Period and Lauryn Hill in 2005 to create "The Best of Lauryn Hill". From 2006-2008 he served as a senior graphic designer for Jay Z's Rocawear. Fuse Green is the current New York ambassador for 9th Wonder's "True School" collective
