Superstar compilation and companion DVD by UK producers Jamie Catto and Duncan Bridgeman that paired multiple artists from around the world on each track. Featuring Baaba Maal, Michael Stipe from REM, Michael Franti from Spearhead, Robbi Williams, Speech from Arrested Development, and many others.
Critically acclaimed French duo of Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoit Dunckel. Their synth fused, ambient soundscapes helped 21st Century lounge slink into the pop culture consciousness, opening the door for the success of the chill/downtempo genre.
From Buenos Aires, now living in Spain, Federico Aubele is signed to ESL Music and his debut album was produced by Thievery Corporation. The resulting body of work, Grand Hotel Buenos Aires is a sound collage of latin guitar and dub-influenced tracks with Spanish lyrics.
A wicked four way collision between Hackney-style breakbeats, Jamaican ragga, percussive funk, and classical Indian sounds twisted into something entirely new.
Rohin Francis and Ryan Perera's debut short won the Gone in 60 Seconds Award in 2004 and featured in the Raindance 2004 shortlist. Featuring music by Badmarsh and Shri, Jolly Mukherjee and the Madras Cinematic Orchestra, it takes you on a breakneck tour of London. Raksha is an exhilarating breakdancing, parkour-ing race against time. Moozay is coming. Await the signal.

Ashley MacIsaac is, in a sense, the musical representative of the pre-millenial generation of Eastern Canada. An ardent traditionalist with a penchant, nevertheless, for experimentation, this 29-year-old Nova Scotian native has been taught to play the fiddle the working-class, pub-stomp Cape Breton way: fast, furious and with phenomenal precision. Reforging and recreating Celtic music with an updated, mass-appeal quality, MacIsaac has put his own spin on the sounds he was brought up with.
Steeped in the traditions of their Serer region of central Senegal, but citing Bob Dylan, Cat Stevens and Joan Armatrading among their prime influences, Pape and Cheikh brilliantly encompass both concepts of folk music.
Through the conscious and heartfelt songs composing Solace, the debut of Australian surf/roots artist Xavier Rudd, theres stories of the mistreatment of the indigenous people of his homeland and songs about humanity, spirituality and the environment, compassionate songs encouraging understanding and looking to celebrate life. And running through those songs are all sorts of instruments: guitars, shakers, didgeridoos, Weissenborn slide guitars, Tongue drums, stomp boxes, djembes, harmonica, ankle bells, and slide banjoand theyre all played by Rudd.
Cheb i Sabbah left his native Algeria in the 1960s, and has made a career out of blending music from all over the world into kaleidoscopic, dance-floor mixes ever since.
Thievery Corporation debuted with the warm minimalism of Sounds from the Thievery Hi-fi. Rob Garza and Eric Hilton raised the production value significantly with the highly acclaimed Mirror Conspiracy, which contained the seminal international hit "Lebanese Blonde." The next Corporate offering was the conscious and thought-provoking The Richest Man in Babylon.
The Cosmic Game finds Garza and Hilton crossing further the sonic boundaries with forays into rock and psychedelia that are fused with their signature dub and tripped-out sound with collaborations with rock legends Perry Farrell, The Flaming Lips and David Byrne.
Tosca is the brainchild of Richard Dorfmeister + Rupert Huber. Both met in school where they shared the same enthusiasm about music. Very soon they formed their first group called Dehli 9, which was a wild collective, experimenting with tape machines and indian influences, mixed with poetry lyrics.
After school everybody went its way. Rupert decided to work in the experimental music scene, while Richard teamed up with Peter Kruder to form the producer/dj duo Kruder+Dorfmeister. Their K&D remix sessions are legendary.
In 1994, Richard and Rupert met again to do a new thing called Tosca
The traditional sounds of Senegal are combined with contemporary world music influences to create the smooth-edged global fusion of Paris-based guitarist Wasis Diop. More info at the Wrasse Records website.

Music has been Dean's passion ever since he was a DJ at his 20-watt high school radio station back in the late 1970s. Since then, he has worked as an on-air personality and music programmer for numerous formats in the Pacific Northwest, helping discover and champion multiple new artists.
His early radio days at top40 KJRB, Spokane, were filled with the new wave pop sounds of the 1980s. At album rock KISW, Seattle, he was part of a radio station that dominated the city in both ratings and spandex. As Music Director at KXRX, Seattle, he contributed to what is still referred to as the Seattle Sound and helped make grunge a mainstream phenomenon.
Having released all of his angst in the early nineties, Dean shifted formats and started as Music Director at adult rock KMTT (The Mountain), Seattle, one of the first stations in the country to embrace the AAA format. His 6 years at KMTT brought him national attention (including multiple music director of the year awards) after breaking many new artists like Dave Matthews, Sheryl Crow, and Ben Harper.
Deans musical journey continued when he left terrestrial radio for the crazy life at an Internet startup. As a new media Music Director at The Dial and LoudEye Radio, he was responsible for programming and producing over 10 music formats including alternative, hard rock, top40, blues and electronic.
Dean continues to DJ at clubs in the Seattle area and runs a tab at local record stores as he searches for the best new music from around the globe.

Hey Fusion: The modern global music radio show, how are you? If you got a minute, we pulled over some new things fo you. We have this video up on our page that inspired the song we sing with it. The dance is pretty unreal, and worth seeing. Also, we now have an illustrated novella for sale. It comes with the album if you order it. It's a dark story, but there's some fire in it too. We think you'll like it.
Stop over if you get the chance, and if you like what we give for free, buy a copy of the album and novella. It would help us. Hope you're doing well out there.
