ABOUT FUSION SHOWS

 FusionShows produces and markets independent concerts throughout Michigan. We strive to bring Michigan the best up and coming national acts, but we focus heavily on strengthening the local music scene by providing bands with the tools they need to succeed. Our intimate shows are accessible to fans of all ages, and we are honest with our intentions. You'll never have an obstructed view seat. You'll simply be face-to-face with your favorite bands!

Most importantly, unlike the "big" concert promoters, FusionShows never charges any service fees, no matter how you purchase tickets from us! We believe that by paying us in advance for one of our events, WE OWE YOU. Not the other way around. Therefore, we'll pay any PayPal fees on any online transaction on our internet ticketing site (fusionshows.bigcartel.com), we'll pay for our tickets to be printed and placed at our ticket outlets. When you want to buy a $10 ticket, you give us $10. And we give you the best show we can!

FusionShows has hosted over 500 live music events in the past five years, featuring such bands as Mae, Sherwood, mewithoutYou, Haste the Day, Murder By Death, Mustard Plug, Hit the Lights, Kevin Devine, Alesana, and many more! We book shows at the following venues:

How can I help FusionShows?
On a promotional level, we can always use help spreading the word about shows! Post our web flyers everywhere! Print a stack of them out and take them to school. Invite your friends to our Facebook events! Or simply tell your friends. If you are seeking a more permanent way to help, we are always seeking interns interested in learning a bit about the music industry. Contact us if interested!

Since most of you who are desperately seeking out shows won't read this anyway, I can afford to be very nice to the ones who will. First, do not message us on MySpace for booking! Now that we've established that, here's what you should do. Email me at natedorough@gmail.com. Simply tell me a little bit about your band. Do not attach anything. Make sure you include contact info, a MySpace or PureVolume link to music, and a quick pitch on why you're worth booking! Please realize that we get about 100 requests per week. So work hard to distinguish yourselves. If you're from a small town south of Kalamazoo, and you've only played two shows, cut your teeth in your own market. We've got enough bands to break in here. But if you're really, really good, and starting to pick up some steam in your home market, then please continue reading!

We book Michigan dates for national tours. Those shows sometimes have openers. Don't be afraid to ask for what you want, as long as you're not going to be sad when I say no or just don't reply at all. Do not follow up. I got your email. If you're from Lansing or from Livingston County, you'll get more love from us, as those are our main markets. If you're a smaller touring band, those shows are getting harder and harder to make work, but if you really, truly rule as musicians, and are doing something that's sonically amazing, we'll see what we can do. We love good music. If you're kids in a van trying to get away from home for a few days, we're probably not your agency. We also try to do local showcases, to try out new bands and give them the chance to prove themselves!

Regardless of what show we put you on, we expect you to have the same insane work ethic we do! If you're lazy, stop reading now, and go find something else to do. Don't waste our time.
