After talking about forming a band whenever drunk, we finally decided to get together and do it. Having each been in other bands, playing a variety of metal styles, we decided to play something different to what any of us had done previously. We found common ground in our love of doom metal and Futility was born.
In April 2008 Duncan was welcomed to the ranks on drums. A two track demo was sold in limited numbers at gigs in late 2008. On February 7 2009 our full lenght self titled album was released. At this stage we are looking for distribution, until that is sorted you can get it directly from us at our web site, at gigs or at Le Cabinet Des Curiosities in Sydney.
Our debut gig was at Chaos ACT IV. Check out the video of us covering Katatonia's Murder.
