Future Primitive were Johor Bahru shoegazing rock band. Taking their name from the late 80's Skatebording video, they formed in 1989 in Johor Bahru and continued into the late 1990s. Original members were guitarist/singer Kip and drummer Jas . Lineup during heyday also included singer-guitarist Bai and bassist Icham. Though they released a handful of Demo's during the mid-1990s, only their last two Demo's *Gift* (April 1994) and *Bed Of Spikes* (November 1997), are considered representative of their sound: a distinct blend of noise rock, ambience, and off-kilter pop. The thick, swirling, multi-layered guitar sound pioneered by Future Primitive would later be termed Noise pop by local underground fans. Their influences include: The Velvet Underground, Ride, Cocteau Twins, late-1970s Wire, The Jesus & Mary Chain, and paisley underground artists such as the Pastels. Kip has also named The Beach Boys as a personal influence.

we, at the moment..having some difficulties to start recording our 2nd EP's right now and we have decided to keep on waiting for a while until the problem is solved..and yes..it makes us very sick due to keep on waiting till don't know when..but we hope that we can start it as soon as possible..
