Future Sound of Exeter (Paul)'s Interests
GeneralThe Future Sound of Exeter promotes innovative & exotic local music. We put on multi-faceted events rather than just gigs, where we feature local bands, DJs, projections and decor. Our events are often described as mini-festivals with a good vibe second-to-none!

We always pull out all the stops to make our events special ones rather than just gigs, cramming as many local acts onto the bill as we possibly can. For example, when we put on Ozric Tentacles we also engaged local avant-garde artists to wire up a real squid and generate sounds from it in the bar - so punters got even more tentacles for their money!
MusicElectronica, trance, techno, ambient, dub, world, roots, folk, drum'n'bass, fusion, progressive, psychedelic and jazz-rock - in essence anything innovative and exotic...

As well as all the acts listed on our 'Ten' CD opposite, over last decade we've put on An amazing range of acts including HAWKWIND, ASIAN DUB FOUNDATION, TALVIN SINGH, GONG, LTJ BUKEM, RONI SIZE, MAD PROFESSOR, BAKA BEYOND and many more - all supported by as many local acts as we can cram onto the bill!
MoviesWe have our own VJ kit and always use projections at our events.
TelevisionThe annual World Music Extravaganza we put on for Exeter Respect Festival has been previewed on both BBC and ITV.
BooksYou can read the history of the Future Sound of Exeter and St David's Ambience Society in the booklet for our 'Ten' double album, and on our main website at www.fsoe.org
HeroesEveryone who's collaborated with us and helped out at our events to make them so special.

Hey!

We realise how this is quite obviously automated and you will probably consider it as spam and ignore it.. but if you are feeling the need for a some fresh new music please visit our page and give our new EP a listen. We've worked really hard on it and had some excellent feedback so far and would love to hear what you guys think.

"Exciting, Striding and assured. It has an energy reminiscant of everything that was good about the Klaxons debut album.." - BBC Radio Bristol.

"The overall sound echoes that of Bloc Party but with great conviction and sophistication. Go see them live if you can." - iTunes review.

It's also available to buy through our website and itunes if you really do like it.
