''Music has been my main passion since i was knee high spinning 7 incher's on my plastic alba stereo, but the dance music culture entered my life from about 1989/90. First from listening to the more commercial acid house that was appearing on tv and in magazines at the time. Then through to a coulpe of years later when i hooked up with a friend of a friend, who brought me into the world of mixing and pirate radio. From that very day i found my way in life and a few years later teaming up with long time partner in crime Uncle Dugs the path was set for was what to come''
Fuzion Uk got his first set of decks in 1993 (the worst set on the market), soundlab with the rolling pitch on the front for anyone who remembers or had a set. By then he was heavilly into jungle drum & bass and started listening to pirate stations like Kool, Rude, Conflict, Unity and many others that were about, he then started to venture into Boogie Times Romford & Music Power Ilford to buy vinyl, not even knowing about the big things certain people behind the counters were doing, Over the years Fuzion got more and more into the music and strived to perfect the art of mixing and dj'ing. He began playing out around 95 first at local parties, pubs and smaller clubs then in the years to come, to have played around the UK and abroad, taking him to places and towns he'd proberly never go if not for the music.
The radio ride started on Flava FM, then Fuzion joined Pressure FM where he satyed for a year or so, plus loads of guest shows on many small pirates and internet stations inbetween he then moved to Rinse FM where he held down the only Drum & Bass show on the station for five years running, gaining many listeners and much support. Now you can catch him on the mighty Kool FM 94.6 holding down 2 regular shows each and every week tuesday night 7pm-9pm alongside Mc Stappleton and a thursday morning hosting the breakfast show 10am-12pm.
"Whilst on Rinse i was a D&B head smack bang in the middle of the top players of the grime world for many years and i see a different side to life that i had not been involved in before like video shoots, big profile tv interviews, the big studio's, the deals, you know, and this has broadend my horizion very much into what i want to do in life"
Fuzion trained as an engineer and worked in a recording studio for 2 years, eventually also managing the studio he got the chance to work with nearly all the big artists in the garage & grime scene recording and mixing down vocal tracks, producing beats and making adverts. Many things he was behind have appeared on high profile tv & radio such as BBC, MTV, C4, Channel U, BBC Radio 1, 1 Xtra, Kiss 100 FM etc and if u've heard the adverts on Kool Fm u've definitely heard one or more ad's of his work
"Ive been working hard in the studio on my own productions for the whole of this year with many things that im playing on radio and out and about, ive had a few small scale releases over the years, a few cheeky bootlegs and a dubstep remix signed to a major label out in stores in 2009 but im concentrating hard in the studio right now and ive just started to push all my new material out to other dj's and producers so watch this space"
Now 3 years plus down the line on Kool Fm Fuzion Uk has been lucky to play at quite few Jungle Fever's and Kool party's also alongside playing for various promoters at most of London's top spots u can regularly catch Fuzion at a club near you, also the head of record shop "The Record Box" in Gants Hill Essex and with tutoring at "The Dj & Mc Acedemy" and working on his own productions Fuzion keeps busy 24 hours a day and has firmly cemented his'self into the music business for now and many years to come
