About FUZZY LOGIC ENSEMBLE

FUZZY LOGIC ENSEMBLE is probably the most ambitious jazz group currently based in Ireland. With 10 of the finest young Jazz and Classical artists from Ireland and England coming together to perform the music of composer Dylan Rynhart.

Since it was formed in 2002, this hard working group that has developed a style of their own, setting them apart from most Jazz bands with the flexibility and sonority of their unique instrumentation, and the orchestral harmony and rhythmic Balkan influence obvious in their music. Comparisons have been made to the music of Thad Jones and Kenny Wheeler.

Eoin Walsh	Feb 6 2008 1:28 PM well, there is an emphasis on classical music there but theres also a jazz ensemble and electronic music centres and stuff. but from what i can gather, it seems like the course focuses on making you a savage performer over the 4 years, which is what i really want - to be a professional performer. the only reason i'd like to be qualified to teach is that i'd say there'd times when i'd need an extra few bob. the ol' teaching qualification would be handy for that.

Eoin Walsh	Feb 4 2008 6:40 PM ya, i've considered a few places - ucc, cork school of music....... new york school of jazz and contemporary music! is this newpark gaf completely jazz based? is it limited to jazz is what i mean. are you qualified to teach after the course? cos i'm looking for somewhere that will give me ability all round, not just in one particular area, somewhere which will give me the best qualifications possible. right now school of music seems like my best bet. what do you think?
