Venturer Retreat - Friday August 21st - Sunday August 23rd
The Venturer Retreat is a weekend away to get you all thinking about some of the more
spiritual and emotional side of life - morals, values, life choices, and things that
are important to you, your friends, your family and all of humanity. The course will
allow you to complete your Ideals 1/Venturer Award Ideals, but even if you don’t care
about the badgework, we are sure you’ll come home with a fresh outlook on life and hopefully
you’ll discover something more about yourself too.
The Retreat will be held this year at The Old House, Woodhouse. Places are
strictly limited, so apply now! Application forms can be found at

Also on Friday will be a secret meeting at Scout Headquarters at 7.30pm to help your unit get some tips and tricks about how to survive in the harsh wilderness of Tilkilki - this is essential spy training for anyone who's never been to an Easter Venture before!
Otherwise, we expect you and all of your special agents to be ready for WORLD DOMINATION on Good Friday morning at 7.30am at Gawler Scout Hall.

non-stop bouncy fun!
Where: Belair Scout Hall, Downer Ave, Belair
When: 12.30pm until 6pm (Bouncy Castle from 1-5pm)
27th September 2008
Cost: $10 each to bounce and $2 each for BBQ (from 4:30pm). There will also be cold soft drinks for sale. Water and cordial will be provided
Bring: Sunscreen, hat, emergency pants if you need them, and a
completed Standard Application or Parent Advice Form. NO FORM, NO
BOUNCE!
Who can come: Any Rover or Venturer, but please note that is activity is not intended for small children (Cubs or Joeys) as they might get squashed.

This time around the course is being held outside of the Adelaide Metropolitan area (for the first time in 4 years) and will be held on the weekend 6th-7th September down in Mount Gambier. (so if you are in adelaide you will have to do some extra work to organise travel down there).
Forms as always are available from this website and get them back to me ASAP (closing date 1st September).

I'm from Kintaro Venturers. I'm just wondering if you have a spare night next term?? As my unit is looking to do an activity with another venturer unit and we thought you'd be the coolest venturer unit to do it with.
