About me: i would describe myself as not typical, though i might have interests in stuff that might be called trendy or even stereotypical... i guess i can be called an enigma, much like everyone else in the world and you would have to be around me to truly know me... i like spontaneity, but i also like the safety of routine... i believe in the balance of life, the yin/yang philosophy... you can't have true happiness without experiencing the crap that life throws at you... you can say that i wear my heart on my sleeve and i sometimes act upon my emotions without thought of consequences... i'm a pack-rat cuz i'm a very sentimental person... i love reminiscing and being nostalgic... i love having adrenaline rushes and got a need for speed, but i also like slowing down and appreciating the little things... and if you know me even just a little, you know that i'm a major car freak... if i see a nice car driving by, i'll stop mid sentence and turn my head just to look at it, i've even been caught doing that when i drive... for the ppl close to me, i can be really goofy but know when to be serious... fun-loving, huggable, bad influence, even a perv... lol and for the ppl that hate... you can suck my right nut! hahahah
"you can't be old and wise without being young and stupid"
"To laugh often and love much;
To win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children;
To earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends;
To appreciate beauty;
To find the best in others;
To give of one's self; To leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition;
To have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation;
To know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived;
- This is to have succeeded." ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
"The ultimate happiness is in giving, and the ultimate evil is selfishness" ~DJ QBert
"Every desire for good and happiness is for each person a very great and insidious Love.
(...)
Love is the desire to possess what is good for ever." ~Plato
"Let's drink! Why are we waiting for the lamps?
Only an inch of daylight's left.
Lift down the large cups, my friend, the painted ones; for wine was given to men by the son of Semele and Zeus to help them forget their troubles. Mix one part of water to two of wine, pour it in up to the brim, and let one cup push the other along..." ~Alceus
Who I'd like to meet: meeting up old friends and making new ones... whoever is down to have fun...
Did you know that every 20 minutes another child is diagnosed with autism? This has occurred in MY family.
My nephew Vinh has autism. He fights the fight every day of his life...and so does my sister and her family. It is a rewarding experience to see him accomplish the simple things in life that we all take for granted. I am hoping that one day we can find a cure to this disorder so he can live a more fulfilling life.
I am walking in the fight against autism at Walk Now for Autism, joining tens of thousands of other people united by a single cause and dedicated to raising money to find a cure for autism. The money raised at Walk Now for Autism supports Autism Speaks mission to finding the causes, effective treatments and a cure for autism through funding essential biomedical research. One in every 166 children is diagnosed with autism. Autism Speaks directs 75¢ out of every dollar raised to autism research, awareness and outreach.
My personal fundraising goal is $ 500. I am well on my way. Please help me reach my goal by making a donation. You can make a donation online using the link below or visit www. walknowforautism. org and enter my name.
You can also use the donation form located on my page to mail a check; please make checks payable to Cure Autism Now and mail to: Autism Speaks/Walk Now for Autism 5455 Wilshire Blvd, Ste 2250 Los Angeles, CA 90036
