About me:

Gabriela Network, San Diego chapter of the Mariposa Alliance is multifunctioning chapter. We participate in a number of activities from concerts to educational discussions to social investigations. The San Diego chapter is an active, expanding chapter that is organizing, educating, networking, fundraising, and advocating around the issues of sex trafficking, globalization, militarism, labor export and other issues affecting the lives of Filipinas around the world.

We welcome all womyn-identified folk of any race, class, sexuality, spirituality, age, or abiility to join us in our work for Filipina/American concerns with a collective focus. We appreciate the support of our brothers and all other allies to our struggle. We invite you to work with us for genuine people's liberation in the Philippines, US, and all over the world. We host general meetings open to the public every third Sunday of the month. For more information or for volunteer opportunities we can be reached at sandiego@gabnet.org.

GABRIELA Network (GABNet) is a US-based multi-racial women's solidarity mass organization. We work with GABRIELA Philippines, a national alliance of more than 200 women's organizations. We work on issues that impact women of Philippines ancestry, but which have their roots in the decisions made in the United States. GABNet is an all-volunteer organization of women with chapters in Chicago, Irvine, Los Angeles, New York/New Jersey, Portland, San Francisco/Bay Area, San Diego and Washington, DC.

GABRIELA is an acronym standing for General Assembly Binding women for Reform, Integrity, Equality, Leadership, and Action. It also commemorates Gabriela Silang, one of the first and fiercest women generals in the Philippines who led the longest series of successful revolts against 18th Century Spanish colonizers.

Join the Movement. Attend our general meetings! Every third Sunday at Claire De Lune. Make a difference, come to our events! Find us on our CALENDER OF EVENTS(clickable)
