Gabriel Lyon's first full length album "Rising From the Dead" brings together the vocal drama of Jeff Buckley and the melancholy of Red House Painters and Nick Drake, while throwing in the jazziness of Nina Simone, the grimey edge of Iggy Pop, and lyrics straight out of a Woody Allen movie. With song subjects ranging from zombies to airplane crashes to Wile E. I saw you guys were from Chicago and so I figured I'd support local music and at least listen. I'm extremely impressed with the writing and composition of pretty much every song and will be attending your next show, I can't wait! You guy's have attained the prestigious title of "My Song" Congrats!
