I was born in Torino, Italy, the 20th of April, 1973.
My career as dj producer begins in 1993, the year in which I joined Blisscorporation, a brand new recording company in Italy.
In the next few years I work as remixer on several projects like "DaBlitz, Blissteam, 883" since when, in 1998 I join M.Lobina and Jeffrey Jay to form "Eiffel65" Our first single BLUE (Da ba dee) put the band for many weeks on the top of the charts all over the world, with more than 10 million copies sold. In 1999, the follow up "MOVE YOUR BODY" duplicates the success of Blue, and in the 2000 the band starts a tour (over 2 years and 500 concerts) that will take them from Europe to America, where our first album EUROPOP will be given a triple platinum disc for more than three million copies sold
We get a nomination for the GRAMMY AWARDS as "The best dance artist of the year" and we also win the EUROPEN MUSIC AWARDS in Montecarlo as "the best italian artist in the world" In the 2002 we move from the dance scene and take part to the "Festival della canzone Italiana" in Sanremo, with the song "QUELLI CHE NON HANNO ETA' " another hit that will open doors for our third album "Eiffel65"
Meanwhile I get back to the clubs, releasing my first soloist album called "GABRYPONTE"
My first singles "TIME TO ROCK" and "GEORDIE" in less than one year reach the top of the charts.
Then I enter RADIO DJ. The biggest and most important radio station in Italy.
In the 2003 "LA DANZA DELLE STREGHE" once more goes number one in all the Italian club charts.
The same year I take part to the project "HAIDUCHII" producing the remix that will take the O-zone song's "DRAGOSTEA DIN TEI" to the top of the sales charts all over Europe. In January 2004 I release my second album "Dr.Jackyll and Mr. Dj" from whom will be taken the new single "FIGLI DI PITAGORA" feat. LITTLE TONY a famous international rock star of the 60's
October 2004. I create a new project called YEMAN together with T.Casigliani, P.Esposito and L.Ventafridda. The song is "SIN PARARSE"
2005: The adventure with Eiffel65 comes to an end April 2005: DJ Set , the dance compilation selected by me is released by Universal. Meantime I tour the principal european discos with 'Gabry Ponte DVJ show' multimedial performance. June 2006 - I release LA LIBERTA', a production which mashs the lyric tradition of the most known Italian opera with tekno-trance arrangements of the dance music.
In December 2006 I release "Modern Tech Noises In The Digital Age According To Gabry Ponte", an EP containing U.N.D.E.R.G.R.O.U.N.D. and Electro Muzik is back, a video of U.N.D.E.R.G.R.O.U.N.D., and in February 2007 the next EP, called "Love Songs In The Digital Age According To Gabry Ponte, containing of The Point Of No Return and once more a unique innovation … The Eurotrance Remix of Geordie.
By the same time my radio program becomes a daily one – Gabry2o, from Monday till Friday at 6pm.
In June 2007 I release "I Dream Of You", the EP "Tunes from Planet Earth According to Gabry Ponte follows in Autumn.
