Started in 2002, mixing harsh industrial soundscapes with soft and soothing melodies. Released a CDEP on the now vanished DTArecords called Forbrenningsovn in 2003. In 2005 a CD was released, on the Danish OrganicPipeline recordlabel, called Mektig. I also can be heard on the compellations, Tonal Desctruction 2 (DTArecords), Noizzze just do it (Invasion wreckchords), and Catz-En Jammer (TIBProd). Although my main Genre is Industrial, I have also dabbled in Techno, and other electronic genres.
The Idea of Gacky is basically an exploration into the concepts of artistic beauty in Music. It seams strange that something as delicate, precise and alive as a flower as well as something as destructive, chaotic and painful as fire can both be considered beautiful. A lot of Modern Music (mostly thanks to the raise of Rock and Roll) has forgotten artistic beauty and replaced it with commercialism, now most music is more about the image than the sound and the concept. Instead of needing to be creative or innovative musicians now only need an attitude and a look. Art has been taken out of music, and now music is more of a craft, blueprinted, and ready for any idiot with a guitar. The thing that puts Industrial aside from other musical genres is that not only does it do what music is suppose to do, explore beauty, it explores the faces of beauty that people are not comfortable with, and really only those who are willing to strip themselves from various mental blocks are able to enjoy it. Gacky is a mix of both delicate and soft beauty as well as abrasive and harsh beauty.
Going to Norway this summer? I'm in Bergen at the moment in the civi service. (For some reason we still have a compulsory army/civil service here.) But I'll most probably be around in the forest aswell if you're going that way. I like the latest from Gacky. Cool stuff.
Gacky I'm really liking Megtik, it just has thise soothing and warm tone to it. It seems like your stuff has really picked up and I like the sweeping synths and calming atmospheres in conjunction with the hardeer EBM beats. Keep up the good work! and never take a sun glasses off, they give you character!! Keep working on ruling the world!
Well, perhaps you are right - I think it has gotten beyond the Ministry/Rammstein level of sickness a while ago. BTW, I finally thanks to my highspeed connection was able to listen to your new track - and I do like it obviously! Like I like Mektig which is a great CD one should have in the underground collection!
..:..Most of the mood moments are the old techniques of tape-splicing, time shining in the dark sounds of a steady stream of hot lava where and when silence is amplified. Some of these people go all the way out with nice cold lights hovering on them, time things drone nicely away, whether these are disjointed recordings of something such as the synthesizers, or perhaps it triggers software drilling mostly balanced between which can create a state of insomnia. A high-pitched tone gently scraping the surface even when the darkness is an omnipresent intelligence somewhere in space. On a high processed thought, with stars shining, using headphones as if something the voices made audible in form of soft crackles and synthesizers, mostly radio atmospheres, the loss and decay of nature and man being unfocussed in the crowd in the background and in the foreground call out during a noise that is a faceless piece of enlarged sounds based on old recordings and indicates some of those places (which seems a more than logical decision). These recordings are now chopped up and re-processed as another fine blend of taped voices in a space where small stuff is assembled and amplified (or not) collage work is set against a hybrid of drone related music, that can suddenly change introspective and texture. It's hard to tell what the sound input is, a dynamic field of sound with gentle sensibilities of musique-concrete and natural sounds turning into cold repetitive machinery loops....:.. .Ok, ., so....welcome to the kalliedosphere.::.!.!::!.!Thanx s'much for the friendlies, ., welcome and then thanx againish!.!::!.!
The respect is very much mutual. Once I get the album done I think a colaboration is on the agenda. I'll play LA any time I can get the ticket paid for or do a tour (Davyd from Hive expressed interest in my touring but I'm not sure to where as of yet as he's settling into his new location in New Jersy).
Let me know if you have releases available that I don't already have in stock in my shop and I'll pick them up.
