Gaijin are a Progressive Death Metal band from London and St Albans that amalgamate many styles of music, twisting and forming it into a unique and varied beast.
The Creation of Gaijin was a concept first thought of by founding members Paul Voulgaridis and Joe Daniels, which slowly grew into riff swapping and eventually, The Demo.
The first attempt at forming the band was in mid 2008 with former Ajdath drummer Bartek. Writing and jamming went extremely well for a few short months, but slowly died down due to lack of free time, financial issues and the distance between the members.
Eventually Bartek parted ways with Gaijin and the band remained stagnant for many months until the line up was finally completed when joined by Pete Aplin and Sacha Darwin of Irony of Christ, from here, the first attempt at a demo was completed.
Shortly after recording vocals for the band, Sacha moved back to Bristol, unfortunately leaving Gaijin, but, his departure only added fuel to their ever growing desire to push forward for the next release.
Gaijin Have now completed 90% of the EP, with only a few minor details to fill in before they head off to a studio to record.
