After 16 years of pleasing audiences throughout his homeland of Wales, UK, and Europe with his Welsh language ska rock band – Anweledig and solo pseudonym project - Mim Twm Llai, Gai Toms has come of age with a debut Welsh language eco-concept album. Rhwng y Llygru a’r Glasu translates as ‘In between the age of pollution and the age of green ideology’, and is a collection of songs questioning the human condition within the current global climate. You may think of this as a dire subject to sing about, but the raspy guttural Welsh wailings gel fantastically with witty musical contradictions such as inferno blues guitar, backed by a recycled junk kit to create unique statements about the world today - and tomorrow. There’s also mysterious lyrical slow tempo material that sounds as if Gai has met Tom Waits in a weird dream! The album was mostly self-produced using clean energy at his home in the mountains of North Wales and is packaged with recycled material. 4 sale online & @ most Welsh book shops and record shops from 27th of July.
In addition to performing his eco-concept album around Wales, Gai Toms is currently preparing his first English language album titled - Ffish Ffresh, due for release later in the year.

Did theatre tour Crossection in November. The tour was a crossection and celebration of 3 albums with songs performed theatrically. As well as to hype the new album the tour was to reasearch new ways of performing in the Welsh language scene and to do something different.
Toured Euskal-Herria (Basque Country) with Estella in October.
Went to SXSW in Austin Texas to shoot a music video for S4C music programme Bandit. Song - Iesu Grist o Nefoedd yr adar (Yr Eira Mawr). Played impromptu gig in a a 6th Street Bar.
