formed in 2006 as a trio, Galaxy Express has released 2 EP albums "to the galaxy and "ramble around"
in april and november. since then they have been hailed as the saviour of rock and roll by both fans
and music critics with their energetic live shows and raw sound. their first full length album
"noise on fire", released in july 2008, rockets the band into rock stardom and mainstream media only by
word of mouth without any promotion or management. Galaxy express is a band that plays every show like
it's their last regardless of the size of the crowd. it's no surprise that people who have witnessed
their live shows often worry that they might just die on stage due to?their ridiculously exhausting
shows that pushes human boundaries. They have proven that they are not only the hardest working band
in korea but also the hardest rocking band by getting awarded the best rock album for "Noise on fire"
in 2009 by the korean grammy. however, this didn't stop them from playing small venues or exhausting
themselves on stage. after all, galaxy express is probably one of the very few bands in korea that still
believe in rock and roll. and this is why their shows will always resemble a near death experience from
rocking out too hard.?
raw power and untamed sounds, lo-fi but high in energy, galaxy express is the only rock band that matters
now in korea. and maybe in the world only if you would give them a chance.?
