Thank you to everyone who was a loyal patron to the Galaxy Theatre. Please make sure you visit The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano fro some great shows!!!
I really liked The Galaxy - always got the dinner!! It was great - I can not make the drive out to the Coachhouse - went one time and it was a long night
This IS SAD NEWS! I have to say I liked the GALAXY alot! It had a lot of character the way it was laid out and everything! I only saw LOVE, The English BEAT and Lee Rocker there, but it definately made an impression on me! I hope you are able to find another great spot for the GALAXY in Orange County. All the best to your staff and owners!
I'm really sad to see the Galaxy Theatre come to an end. I remember on March 30 of 2007, Static-X played the Cannibal Killers tour. The show was sold out, and I was walking back and forth asking everyone for extra tickets. We needed 9 and only achieved 5. Then the ticket taker decides to sell us a few reserved/Will Call tickets. That I will never forget. Please consider reopening or relocating somewhere real near Santa Ana.
Ive Only been at The Galaxy Theatre once to see THE ADICTS at FIEND FEST with THE MISFITS, It was an awesome show. It Sucks that you guys have to close down.....
i can't believe this is happening... what is wrong with california? every time something good musically happens someone has to go & shut it all down. what the f*ck? f*ck california. the galaxy was the shit & people had lots of fun there & yeah i got knocked around by some drunk dudes a couple times but i had the best times of my life there. its really disappointing to see you go. i love you galaxy theatre & everyone there!!!! i miss you all!!!
This is inconceivable... you will be greatly missed.
I will never forget the memories of opening for my heroes: King's X (four times), Loudness, Y & T, Spocks Beard, Lynch Mob at your club. Over eleven shows (n' counting) and not a clunker in the bunch.
And lets not forget all the amazing shows that you've hosted over the years. The Galaxy is home to some of my all time favorite musical moments.
Thanks for everything... Gary, Adam and Galaxy. Please re-open soon!
PS. What about The Galaxy taking over the Fox Theatre in Fullerton. Huh? Wouldn’t that would be bad ass?
Why did you guys close?!?! I've gone to so many good shows there like; Eagles of Death Metal, Ozomatli and even a suprise Hoobastank show!!! I'm so sad to see you guys go, I've had lots of great memories at the Galaxy, you will be missed :(
the Galaxy Theatre was one of our home away from homes .Orange county's great venue who has treated us very very good,, you will be missed...........We have opened up for many many national acts here and also had the oppertunity to headline.. and now its off to the Coach House (another fine club in the OC), April 5th with Y & T
There hasn't been this much of a tragic closing since the Golden Bear, for those of you who were around then . . . What a bummer . . . Thx for all you did though . . . happy trails . . .
You guys had such good business down there I really don't know why you're doing this. Galaxy was my fucking home! It was literally down the street for me, so now I have to go all the way down to san jaun!? fuck that!!!
WE HAD JUST A SUPER GREAT TIME PERFORMING FOR THE OC KISS ARMY ON SAT NITE!!! IT WAS INDEED AND HONOR TO PERFORM WITH SUCH GREAT TRIBUTE BANDS AND TO PLAY ONE OF THE LAST SHOWS AT THE WONDERFUL GALAXY CONCERT THEATER...GODS OF THUNDER WILL TRULY MISS THIS PLACE ONCE THE DOORS HAVE CLOSED!!!
I couldnt be more depressed about the fact that you're closing down. The Galaxy has been a huge part of my life over the last few years and i dont even think its really sunk in yet.
