Me, and some guests including Marc Ivan O'Gorman who produced some of the tracks and Kenneth Nolan who played and sang on some as well.
Influences
Everyone from Bach to Gorillaz, but especially the Beatles, Bowie, Dylan, and Young. I spent a lot of my formative years in a high rise council flat in Birmingham in the 1970s listening to 60s rock and country music on my mothers radiogram. I think that this is not unobvious from the sounds of my songs but you can work it out for yourself.
Sounds Like
You can decide that for yourself. But generally I would say that it sounds a lot like me singing songs wot I wrote and playing some musical instruments to accompany myself.
My name is Galbally, Galbally, Galbally I am a somewhat lazy songwriter, singer, and musician living and playing in Ireland. I know its Ireland because it rains a lot, which is okay as there are many types of waterproof clothing now available in our fine department stores.
So, I've at least played with various bands (involving varying levels usefulness and ability at D.I.Y. sauna construction) in my time. These wonderful acts include the art rock group "The Floors" where I got to play with David Donogue, Pat Donne, Ger Farrell, (the core members of the group/project/lifestyle that was the floors including me of course because I was great). During that crazy time I worked (ha!) on two Floors albums Superbe (or Super-Bee depending on your sense of humour) and Morphine Watch. Luckily during this time I also got to work (via the floors) with people such as Lee Ronaldo, Lydia Lunch, Maria McKee, and others who are not as well known to NME and Rolling Stone.
Other groups I've been involved in include the well thought of traditional Irish group "Cayna", (well, I thought well of it anyway, and sure thats the main thing). Cayna featured Padraig O'Brien on accordion, Kenneth Nolan on bass, Brian Welsh on Guitar, Neil Byrne on Fiddle and Stephen Harris on Drums. Cayna released one album "music from another room", which is not available as it was indepenent, and we sold em all. But maybe we should make a few more of em. Pob, Keneth and I plan to do some playing in the new year of 08.
My first band were "the Byrd Dogs", and several of us still play together for fun and a little pocket money! (Well, if you consider €2.50 per week acceptable). Now its time for this new collection of songs, "return to form". I've have been working on this, my first rock album as a solo artist (after only 15 years eh!) for far too F-ing long (a PhD has gotten in the way, as it tends to do), but I seriously plan to get it over and done with by Xmas and do another one, jaysus its boring doing the same one after so long! I originally put 4 of the tracks on here, now I am going to put a different 4 just for the crack! Its called "Return to Form" and the songs that are here are all intrinsic to it. I hope you enjoy the music! You can check out those other bands on myspace also to see what I have been doing in music for the past 10 years.

re: the razor - aye though I htink thats what I was saying a long time ago in the shed (the night of the count and falling off steps) - as in it cant be the simplest solution is best as, say, that old woman over there was annoying me and there was no-one about - the simpliest solution would be slap her around the head - yet that wouldnt be the correct solution as there may be complications.
