Galleons Lap are an ideal example of the inspired music that Brisbane has been generating in recent years. A four-piece original outfit, Galleons Lap blend innovative songwriting with classic, measured musicianship, and the result is a blend of roots and folk which you are unlikely to forget.
Over the years, Galleons Lap have supported wonderful artists such as Loren, Bertie Blackman, Palladium, Paul Greene, The Boat People, Gorgeous, the Go Betweens, Emma Dean, Dappled Cities Fly, Asa Broomhall, The Devoted Few, and many more.
2007 finds Galleons Lap with a self-titled EP which beautifully reflects style of the current line-up. The recording depicts a Galleons Lap rooted firmly in the folk past, yet pointing toward the future with absolute conviction. Lovers are urged to check out the newest confessions of these great players.
