Gallery - Feelin' the Vibe..
Between 1985 and 1987, a particular number of atoms were arranged to produce 5 carbon-based life-forms. Time rolled on and these life-forms began to grow. The 5 humans chose to express themselves in 5 different ways. Paul picked up a guitar as soon as his muscles enabled him. Brent too began to strum when his brain fired the appropriate neural impulses. Desmond also picked up a stringed instrument only his was larger. In fact he had the largest string instrument in the entire sand pit. Close by, Julian spent his time sitting in corners, humming and thinking thoughts. The final carbon animal, Duncan, simply enjoyed making noise.
Several years on, extreme fortune and the evolution of a pre-destined fate brought the 5 together. Their ideas coalesced and they began to make noise together. They spent many months in darkened rooms honing their skills only to emerge as GALLERY. This was a band dedicated to making noise in the hope that others would come and listen and perhaps make noise themselves.
From their humble beginnings at the Easter Show in 2006 the guys have shown that the real art in Gallery is the way the band connects with the audience, and their level of enjoyment on stage. Gallery has performed at venues such as Manly Fisho's, candy's Apartment, Home Nightclub, Cat and Fiddle, and more recently the Hopetoun and Ruby Rabbit, with more big name venues on the card each day. Definitely a band to keep a close eye on over the next few years.
