Influences
black sabbath and maiden at first,
also white wolf and grim reaper were very important to most of us early on,
then it went from there, the logical steps that led us to SADE.
you see, SADE, is like nirvana. not the band, but the state of enlightenment.
at the end of things gallerythirteen acheived SADE, so we couldn't really expect to acheive much of anything else.
Sounds Like
a grim wolf!
a white reaper!
an iron sabbath!
a black maiden! (sade)
first romping and estomping to kiss. visions of demon hurling frail young things down a waterwell. then, speak of the devil, more! all this what led to the crux, stand up and shout, hey! but roger marris was too cool, según cocksure judge glodt. enough!
so, finally, so turned on to killers that who would play what was predetermined. enough birthdays and christmases rolled by that they were armed with gear, albeit pretty lousy. TR guitar, DJB guitar, PACO bass.
it is recalled that 'iron man' was first learned by all.
it seems impossible now, but one rainy saturday, at 'workormorsorkcompny', it was DJB who saw FMS piddling about looking for drumsticks. 'you play drums? we need a drummer, where you live boy?'
'davis. come on up and we'll jam in my house'
so they did, and his house was like a spaceship jungle. FMS introduced the others to who would become their manager and mentor, Eudy. they loved his chew stains best, yet, in reality it was jerry holley who would become famous for those
so then plod along they did, all through the highschool days playing covers of their favorite bands.
all three were voted 'most talented' by their peers in their graduating class. PACO in 1988, D.J.B. in 1989, and T.R. in 1990. isn't it incredible?
then university, and by then, write pretty little songs and play lots of shows, and everybody is happy, mainly Eudy, who buys feathered headbands and bumperstickers with their money.
'flowers for all occasions' recorded at bill's half baked hollow in lone grove, oklahoma. shopped around as a demo, but poor ol' bill did such a bad job engineering the recordings, it becomes an unsaid fact that shame is the word, it's got boobs, it's got weenies
oh, but then Paco got run over
and then DJB and STAINAR go to jail in frio county, (big dumb) texas!
and then once he could DJB moves to mexico! while there, romp and stomp! try to write novel, but the stories funnel down to songs each time so. . .
record what seems now to have been one final record called 'up above the world, 'neath the everlasting stain' with mark lewellen at his custom butchery studios. this time added member J.B. DJB lives on mooneyham's couch for those three months meanwhile recording that.
DJB moves back down to mexico. he starts doing records on his own, working out of mexico and the other members stay put and work on other musical projects
metal out your urethra,
paul crime

No worries on "Stain'ar's Worry"... I've been a friend of Gallery Thirteen for generations and love them so. Use the name, image or voice of Stain in any way you feel need be.
listening to these songs this morning brings back gilded memories for me. shame to think that gallerythirteen no longer exists yet something inside me tells me that at some point we shall all make music together again someday. wouldn't it be nice?
i got run over too, very recently, at the beginning of this year, hit right in the tailbone by a car and i went flying high again, and while i need the sympathy, the accident has little bearing on the history of gallerythirteen. but if i were the others, i'd watch out because they're marked men. there is a mexico-texas perfume cartel closing in on all of us.
