About Gallows End

MySpace music Player Skin Code by Eileen Gallows End is a Heavy Metal band from Arvika/Karlstad located in western Sweden and was formed in the summer of 2007 by guitarist/vocalist Thord klarström. Gallows End was intended as a one man project. During September 2007 Thord recorded at three-track promo. The promo featured three songs of aggressive yet melodic heavy metal and immediately attracted the attention from several labels around the world. Due to the great interest for these songs Thord decided to put together a real band and after several months of searching for the right guys the band started rehearsing and writing new material, after some member changes the current line up features: /Gallows End Thord Klarström – Vocals/Guitar Peter Samuelsson – Guitar Niklas Nord – Bass Mikael Karlsson – Drums In October of 2008 Gallows End signed a record deal with ohio based metal-label Farvahar Records LLC and are currently recording their first album due for release in spring 2009 The bands musical vision is to create quality heavy metal, heavily influenced by classic metal acts like Judas Priest, Accept, Iron Maiden etc. but also has influences from more recent bands like Sinergy and Gamma Ray, the style could be described as fast, aggressive but still melodic heavy metal. Det är nog ingen dum idé att plocka in en tillfällig sångare så ni kan lira lite under sommaren. Men vad fan händer om inte din röst håller framöver? Hoppas verkligen att läkarna hittar "felet"... Inget annat nytt kring GE? Har ni planerat något release party eller liknande när det är dax o släppa plattan? Har tyvärr inte varit inloggad på myspace de senaste veckorna, har helt enkelt inte haft någon energi över alls för detta. Har precis påbörjat en 6 veckors semester (lagom till skitvädret) så nu ska det nog finnas tid o kolla läget här, ska även sparka liv i teamet så fort jag hinner med. Skönt o slippa det där jävla kneget ett tag. När går du på semester? Midsommar var bra förresten, rätt lugnt mot hur det brukar vara. Själv då? Ha det gött i Arvika, vi hörs! /Björn
