Israeli singer, author and composer. Jewish, He was a member of Kibbutz Barkai, where he started his dance studies, at ULPAN LEMAJOL MENASHE by Kibbutz Ein Shemer, in a five years program. Served at the IDF as a paramedic and after the army, he went to study performing arts at the BAY..S DRAMA CENTER, San Francisco, USA. In 1994 he went back to Israel, where he participated as singer, dancer and actor in a great variety of musicals such as: 'Cabaret', 'Evita', 'Joseph & the technicolor dreamcoat', 'The Wizzard of Oz', 'Grease', 'Alice in wonderland', 'Ladies & Gentleman', 'The Rebels', 'West Side Store',etc. Between 1995 & 1998 he studied music and composition at 'Rimón' School of Jazz and Contemporary Music in Tel-Aviv and vocal technique with the great Professor HANNA HACOHEN. On April 2001 he went out as a soloist singer, performing at the HEBREW SONG FESTIVAL held by IBA, Israeli TV and radio. On December 2004 his first Hebrew solo Album was released which got very nice complimments from the media and two videoclips: 'Muchacha ojos de papel' & 'Ajshav Hasheket', both on Myspace and on www.youtube.com; also performming in Tel Aviv with his band. On July 2006 represented ISRAEL as finalist at the UNIVERSONG 1st. Edition, INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FESTIVAL, in Los Realejos, Tenerife, Spain. In August 2006,he participated, as finalist, representing ISRAEL, in the 26th FESTIVAL DE LA CANCION LATINOAMERICANA DE CALIFORNIA, in San Francisco, USA, and actually WON the FIRST PRICE – DISCO DE PLATINO, performing duo with the israeli singer LILIA ('Muchacha ojos de papel') and also WON the THIRD PRICE-DISCO DE PLATA, as soloist ('Dónde van?') in the category of: 'Intérpretes de Canciones Conocidas'. On september 2006, participated, representing ISRAEL, in the 6th Edition of the INTERNATIONAL SONG FESTIVAL OF THE CANARY ISLANDS; where he obtained 5 HONOR MENTIONS & 2 SPECIAL DIPLOMAS as Performer and Composer. On september 2007 was selected as one of the 3 semifinalists at the EQUINOCCIO LATIN AWARDS OF SOUTH AMERICA - Chapter Uruguay, with the song 'VOLUNTAD' , music & lyrics by JOSERRA VAZQUEZ (this song can be seen on Myspace videoclip ).

There is also a beautiful duet with a lead female vocalist on “Sueno,” which compliments Tamir’s voice very nicely.
