The next “Ritual of Protection” for and on Tara will be at 8pm on the Full Moon, Sunday 11 January 09, eight days before the Sun enters Aquarius. This is an Eclipsed Moon but it will not be visible from Ireland. We will start our ceremony by 8ish and finish by ten. Meet on the gravel patch beside the Rath of the Synods at 8pm. We will use our native Celtic Irish language during this ceremony with explanations in English. All are welcome to attend this free and open ritual ceremony on Tara.
This year the Imbolg Sun Ceremony is on Thursday, the 29th of Jan. We honour this part of the Eightfold Solar Year by holding a noon ceremony for Brigid while the Sun at it’s highest for the day. This is held in the Torc or Ceremonial Enclosure at Ireland’s Druidschool. This is not open to the public, but all Drui Fasach, Drui Daltai, friends and those who know that they have open invitation are welcome to attend.
Our new Druidschool premises are in Castlerea, Co Roscommon, Ireland and this year 2009, we offer three Sli an Drui weekend workshop dates - Beltine weekend, Friday 1 May to Sunday 3 May 09, Lughnasa weekend, Friday 31 July to Sunday 2 August 09 and Samhain weekend, Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November 09. A highly recommended movie for activism / radical revolution is ‘Zeitgeist Addendum’ and you can view it at http://www. zeitgeistmovie. com/ Zeitgeist means "the spirit of the times" but maybe it can also mean time for a change. There are two movies – please pass them on.
