Saturday, July 19th Halo 3 4v4 Tournament
We will be using eight MLG 2008 Pro-Circuit TVs (Viewsonic 22in Widescreen) seen here:
== Registration ==
- Registration begins at 11:30 AM and ends at 12:45 PM. Tournament starts at 1:00 PM. Pre-registration is available only by contacting Kevin on Xbox Live (requirements for pre-registration and contact information below. If your team is not pre-registered and does not show up before 12:45, you will not be allowed to enter the tournament. Be sure to pre-register!
- The entrance fee is $25 per player/$100 per team if you pre-register, or $30 per player/$120 per team if you do not pre-register. Coaches are allowed at no additional fee. 5 players maximum per team, but all 5 players must pay the $25/$30 entrance fee (and split any winnings).
== Seeding ==
- Teams will be seeded through a single free-for-all qualifier game at the beginning of the tournament on the map Guardian with MLG TS rules with radar enabled, 15-minute time limit. Each team will designate one player on their team to play in the FFA. Teams will be seeded based on their placement in the FFA qualifier (1st place gets 1st seed, etc). The FFA qualifier will be split into equal parties with random placement -- for example, if there are 14 teams signed up for the tournament, the players will be divided into two parties of 7 to compete in the FFA. Players will be competing against ALL scores for seeding. If there is an odd number of teams signed up (such as 13), the FFA will be split into one group of 7 and one group of 6, with every player in the group of 6 receiving a 14% bonus to their total amount of kills in order to balance out the 1 less player (1 player missing, 1/7 = ~14%, every player gets a 14% increase in kills). == Tournament Structure ==
- The tournament is double-elimination (lose once means play harder, lose twice means go home).
- The most up-to-date MLG settings will be used.
- Both winners and losers bracket will be best 2 out of 3 (Slayer, Objective, Slayer). Semi-Finals will be best 4/7 with any previous record of the teams carrying to that match (for example, Team A beat Team B 2 to 1 earlier in the tournament. The beginning of the semi-finals has a score of 2-1 before any matches are played in a best of 7). Finals will be best 3 out of 5, but the winners of the losers bracket will have to beat the winner of the winners bracket in TWO of these sets of 3/5 due to the tournament being double elimination.
== Legal Controllers ==
Wired controllers only. If you bring a wireless with a play-n-charge kit, we will hold your controller in the back between every match to insure that no controller will be connected accidentally in the middle of a match.
== Prizes ==
1st Place: 55% of entrance fees
2nd Place: 30% of entrance fees
3rd Place: 15% of entrance fees
-Prizes will be given in cash.
-All percentages are after a 20% house cut.

Send me a message containing the name of each of your teammates, including a team name. If you want to change your roster or team name, there will not be a problem. Saturday, July 26th Gears of War 4 vs 4 Xbox 360 Tournament

== Schedule ==
Tournament registration begins at 1:00pm and ends at 2:45pm. Tournament starts at 3:00pm. If you are not at the store by 2:45, you will not be able to enter the tournament! We will have our screens setup to warm up at 1:00 only if you have already registered.
== Fees and Prizes ==
- $10 Entrance Fee Per Person
- 1st place receives 50% the prize pool, 2nd place receives 30% of the prize pool, 3rd place receives 15% of the prize pool. All prizes are in cash. All prizes are after a 20% cut.
== General Rules ==
1. No leaving the normal boundaries of a Map.
2. No use of Invisible Cover.
3. No shooting while Roadie Running.
4. No use of the Chainsaw on yourself.
5. No Land Surfing.
6. No Skydiving.
7. No Airwalking.
8. No Canceling the Chainsaw Animation.
9. No performing the Chainsaw Animation with a weapon other than the lancer.
10. No looking at an opposing Team’s TV or projected screens by Players or Coaches.
11. No starting Games until all Player’s status has been Set to Ready.
12. Breaking any of the above rules will result in a Forfeit of the Game.
13. Any sign of cheating may result in a Forfeit of the Game and possible ejection.
14. If a Character falls below the normal boundaries of a Map, they will be considered as having been killed during that Round.
15. The Team that doesn’t Host will choose to play as the COG or Locust for each Game.
16. Quitting out of a Round will be considered a suicide. If the Host quits out of a Round their Team will Forfeit the Round. If the Host quits out of a Round, the Game will continue with the appropriate Round Score (updated with the Forfeited Round) and Teams will be set to play the next Round starting on the appropriate side of the Map.
17. All Players must play as a different COG or Locust Character.

We are switching back to our original format for this Tournament in the interest of time!
Teams will be randomly placed against each other in a one song at a time rock off. After Every band has played 6 matches the top 4 teams with the best records will go on to the finals. Each band will then pick 1 song for all 4 bands to play. You will get 3 points for first place, 2 points for second and 1 point for third. The team with the most points will then win the Tournament (this will also rank 2nd and 3rd). If there is a tie, there will be a 1 random song battle to determine the winner.

GCW WWE League Update WATCH GREAT AMERICAN BASH AT GAME UNIVERSE!!! Goodtimes Fallout!
Game Universe will be showing the WWE Great American Bash Pay Per View! This is on the heels of our usual place to watch PPVs closing... This is also an open invitation to all of Goodtimes' fans and customers to give Game Universe and GCW a try!
Last night GCW owner Jayme, Shinno, Joe V and Epic Fail Guy attended the last ever pay per view showing at Goodtimes in Sommerville. Goodtimes is closing to put in an Ikea .... yeah... that sucks. We have had a lot of fun there over the years and will miss Goodtimes horribly.
We just wanted to give a few quick shoutouts to some of the people we met... including, the MLB, the APA guys and those guys that were clapping to the Mickie James song!
And just when Jayme and EFG's invitation was going to go out to all the Somerville guys....
Joe V had this to say... "If these new guys think they are just gonna come in to Game Universe Championship Wrestling and take my spot... they are gonna have to go through me first!" Strong words from Joe V...

GCW (Game Universe Championship Wrestling) takes place EVERY MONDAY NIGHT at 8pm! It is a $5 Entrance Fee to come to GCW. The World Heavyweight Champion wins HALF OF THE ENTRANCE FEES IN STORE CREDIT! And gets to come to GCW the next week Free!
WWE Pay Per Views are $10 Per Person Entrance Fee!
Don't forget to pre-register for the Halo 3 tournament to get $20 off your team's entrance fee!
Gears of War tournament does not have pre-registration but we are expecting a solid, mid-sized turnout.
