ABOUT:
Gamma Like Very Ultra formed in Tucson, Arizona in early 2006 by founding members Joseph De La Rosa and Josifa De La Rosa (formerly Christine Heinisch until they realized that had the same papa). The duo began as a Found Sound, Electronic Noise and Live instrument collage project. Joe is a bass player, tape noise collage artist, and from Tucson Arizona. Josifa, formerly of the pioneering dark cabaret / chamber punk band apartment aka apartment burlesque orchestra, is an electronic musician, Trumpeter and Keyboardist from Chicago, Illinois. Since its inception, De La Rosa and De La Rosa (Heinisch) have turned their collage work into a live experimental, avant-rock band with nods to their various popular influences. Joella De La Rosa (formerly Guitariella) (apartment), composer / guitarist, long time friend, collaborator, and fellow bastard child of their papa joined in late 2007.
