........ ........ .. .. .................. Ganister started in May of 2009. Comprised of five seasoned musicians, Ganister delivers execution, performance and excitement all in one. Ganister collectively has over 40 years of experience in the business. Bringing you the best in Modern and Hard Rock. We plan on giving our crowd a fun and entertaining experience. So if you want to see a professional, exciting, and upcoming new band, Ganister is the band for you. .... Jim Price review from 1/17/10 at Pellegrine's in Altoona ..Steadily rising as a force on area stages is Ganister, who I saw in action last month at Pellegrine's. Named after a form of rock once mined in Mount Union where the band is partially based, Ganister rocked hard and kept folks dancing with abundant modern favorites from Seether, Three Days Grace, Buckcherry, Breaking Benjamin, Green Day, Saving Abel, Nickelback and more. Ken Gray sang with a solid voice up front; and the corps of guitarist Eric Smith, bassist Dan Lukens and drummer Randy Wilson packed punch and delivered tight execution. For much of the night, Ganister welcomed Hi-Tyde guitarist Rob Sottile to sit in with them. Ganister has established a steady presence on a number of south-central Pennsylvania stages; watch for their return to Pellegrine's and throughout the region... .... Steadily rising as a force on area stages is Ganister, who I saw in action last month at Pellegrine’s. Ganister has established a steady presence on a number of south-central Pennsylvania stages; watch for their return to Pellegrine’s and throughout the region.

Jim Price article from the Kuny Benefit:

Ganister continued with a powerful set of modern favorites and originals. Singer Ken Gray, guitarist Eric Smith, bass player Dan Lukens and drummer Randy Wilson grow stronger with each performance, and were in good form here, displaying tightness and poise on numbers from Stone Temple Pilots, Buckcherry, Saving Abel, Puddle Of Mudd, Black Label Society, and original songs such as “Villain Inside” and “Saving Grace.”
