Gann Brewer has recently released his debut, self-titled CD on Ringo Records of Memphis. Released July 1st, 2008, the 14 song acoustic-based compilation (featuring 9 originals, 2 covers, and 3 traditionals) is palpably influenced by his passion for living and travelling abroad, coupled with his love of any song that mentions dogs or trains.... He lives the life of a troubadour, finding inspiration for his songs in tiny bungalows, tropical rainforests, the German alps, or maybe the beer joint down your road. Give us a hollar if you want him to come to your town! ----------------------------------------------------------
I certainly am one that played Gann on the Radio.----- He seriously reminds me of John Prine. ----- Larry Hillberg ----- KVMR/FM Radio ----- Nevada City, CA
----------------------------------------------------------
I love the CD and have kept it in my rotation at the station. Always hard to play everything every week when you only have 2 hours. Glad to read that I am not the only one who recognizes that this is a very good piece of music. ----- Craig Huegel - WSLR
---------------------------------------------------------- .... Brewer is sort of in the mold of John Prine, that style between talking and singing while spinning yarns about the uncommon common folk with a wry sense of humor and great respect for real people. He is not nearly as deep down dark as Leonard Cohen, but he does slip in a line here and there that puts me in mind of the old Canadian singer/songwriter. ----- Nightflying Magazine
---------------------------------------------------------------- His performance is part anecdote, part stand-up comedy, sing-along and folk concert all in one.... each show seems to include a gruff version of a forgotten chapter in American folk history, the tall tales and legends turned song... his ability to thread these old songs and anecdotal narratives into a fun and rockin' show seems to come naturally. ---- St. John Tradewinds (Virgin Islands)

Gann, what on earth is going on around here??? Where are you? I shot a man in Reno, and well, we know how the story goes. It is crazy how the cosmos align sometimes. I played me a MEAN game of the PAC, misses that is, at a truck stop just east of the Conneticut River Line. Shed a tear for my teacher, Mr. Brewer. Joined the corporate world to try to get "straight", but straight is only the quality or state of extending in one direction without turns, bends or curves; or being without influence or interruption. Which, as we both know, is NOT me.......
