"As Above, So Below," Ganon's follow up to 2006's "In The Dead Of Sleep," sees the band take an arguably more mature approach, showing a certain resistance to being relentlessly crushing in exchange for charismatic melodies that actually stick. The effect is a more cerebral set of arrangements that pack more hooks than a meat locker, yet still satisfy the hunger for a little fuzzy defilement. Rather than aggressively bludgeoning the listener into a jelly-like substance, these atmospheric tracks slither between the ears and lock your internal radio into a frequency of contrasting currents and cyclical, dirgy compositions. The resounding melodies contained herein range from haunting to entrancing, and provide an effortless ebb and flow throughout, proving that the serpentine voyage is more the point, not just the destination.

"Everything flows, out and in; everything has its tides; all things rise and fall; the pendulum-swing manifests in everything; the measure of the swing to the right is the measure of the swing to the left; rhythm compensates." - - - The Kybalion
