Musicians hate this question, but what can you do. I'm still recording, so my sound's in progress, but I guess I'm treading water between Sufjan Stevens, the Streets, Coldplay, and Beck. Maybe I'll throw in a little Beatles, U2, Dashboard Confessionals, 20 Minute Loop, Smashing Pumpkins, Radiohead, MC Frontalot, Better Than Ezra, Imogen Heap, Bonobo... Who knows.
Hey, this is Mike from GarageSpin. I'm a singer/songwriter with a dark, mysterious past involving acapella, alternative rock, funk, and NHL 94, and a current creative tendency leaning towards the intersection of Beck, Sufjan Stevens, Coldplay, and The Streets. Or something.
By day, I do internet marketing stuff for "the man". (The "man" is actually not all bad, since he funds my musical exploits)
By night, if not wiped by my day job, I'll take a crack at writing/recording on my home project studio (with 6+ songs in the hopper, I really need to move...). Anyway, I'm mostly a vocalist, but play guitar and "fake" the mandolin or cello as necessary.

Maybe it's not a coincidence that November brings Election Day, Veterans Day and Thanksgiving Day all in a row. First we have the privilege of voting. Then on Veterans Day we can remember and pay respects to all the individuals who fought and died for that right. Finally we can give thanks for all of it, for our freedoms, for our forefathers, and for all of our choices and opportunities. These are blessings we take for granted while others give up their lives to obtain or to protect them for us.
