   About Garbage Hearts
The band, Garbage Hearts was formed in Southern California during the early 90s with members: Rik L Rik-vocals/ harmonica, Brad Logan-guitar, Beth Carmellini-bass/ vocals and Adam Zuckert-drums. At the time Rik was fairly well known for his solo contributions to the album “Beach Blvd” and past bands including F Word. The rest of the band members would go .. Garbage Hearts to various bands including F-minus, Red Five, US Bombs and Leftover Crack. Garbage Hearts played shows regularly in Los Angeles and Orange County for nearly two years and recorded in different home and professional studios many times. Most of the recordings are now non-existent. Rik passed away in 2000 when he lost his life to cancer. Garbage Hearts were nearly forgotten until 2006 when Adam, Beth and Brad were interviewed for a soon to be released book by Joel Gausten called “Rock n Roll Monster” documenting Rik L Rik’s life and music. Adam had recalled having some Garbage Hearts recordings stashed away on a DAT. Thus, “The Lost EP 1992/1993” was born from songs that were found on a forgotten tape. The EP includes 5 songs which were recorded at For the Record in Anaheim and 1 song at Fullerton College. The 6 tracks were to be released in some form or another but forgotten about after the band’s short-lived existence. Two of the 6 tracks have guest bass players; Steve Soto of The Adolescents and Wade Walston later of US Bombs. Wade was also the band’s bass player during the final months of the Garbage Hearts life. The surviving members of the band are very proud to finally release these recordings and hope you enjoy them.
