Polluted beaches caused the number of beach closings and advisories to hit their second-highest level in the 18-year. The number of 2007 closing and advisory days at ocean, bay, and Great Lakes beaches topped 20,000 for the third consecutive year, confirming that our nations beaches continue to suffer from serious water pollution.

International Coastal Cleanup is the world’s largest volunteer event of its kind. My organization hopes to educate on the environmental impact of cigarette litter. But what makes this idea unique, is that i want to collect cigarettes to make cigarette collection facilities out of them. which in turn print educational material on them....in a way a self-sustaining perpetual infrastructure.
