Deep and mysterious, it often seems like no one truly gets you.
Inside, you are very emotional and moody - though you don't let it show.
People usually have a strong reaction to you... profound love or deep hate.
But you can even get those who hate you to come around. There's something naturally harmonious about you.
There are too many interests to name in a sitting...jazz, classical, rock, movie soundtracks, country, top 40, bluegrass, reggae, brazilian music, showtunes, ska, just about all 80s music, anything you can dance to...I like just about every kind of music in its turn, tho I'm becoming a little more careful about the volume these days.

Heroes
Mom and Dad, for sure, for so many reasons. Everyone in my family. Also anyone who tries to leave the world a little better than they found it. Additionally, I bear the influence of hundreds of other people, real and imagined, famous and obscure, for better or worse. Each man's life, after all, touches so many others.
Oh, and Bruce Johnson is my hero, too--he's the guy who invented Breathe Right strips!!

First, thanks go to Vicki, who was my Gateway Friend on MySpace. (Dang you...)
I'm Greg, also known as the Midnight Gardener (and Gerg...and assorted other things). I'm enjoying MySpace for the connections to old friends and new. I love when the Internet makes the world seem a little smaller and friendlier!
I was born in Hackensack, NJ and lived in Rutherford and Wood Ridge until I was 14, which is when my family and I moved to the Adirondacks, where I lived until about ten years ago, when I washed ashore of this lovely Cape of Cods.
I am definitely a bigger fan of Nature than of Human Nature. Why do we treat each other the way we do? And why do we have even less respect for our home, this cool little planet called Earth? Do you think we'll learn to change our ways before its too late?
I blog about the garden and some of the Good I find in the world at The Midnight Garden and would love for you to check it out. In a fit of misplaced industry, I've started another blog, MEANWhile... at which I'll sporadically discuss the rehabilitation of my large comic collection and a life happily squandered to four-color fantasy. I'll blog here about other stuff, I guess.
[8/30/07: I know the links to my blogs, etc., are not currently working. For some reason I can't change the html to direct you properly. Please don't be frustrated, you'll find those links accurately represented on a recent blog post!]
As for my Top Eight, I'm going to try to be good about rotating folks around some more than I have previously. I know so many great people here and I'd like to represent them a little better...without changing my page to feature the top 100 or something ridick like that. That said, I can be a little lazy...but we'll see how it goes.

Who I'd like to meet: I meet way too many people, but that's a hazard of my job. I know for sure, though, that our world needs more heroes and so for now I would like to meet, first-off, Wonder Woman, Superman, Batman...
..
...or any of their associates from the Justice League. Definitely Santa Claus. Jesus might've been cool to hang out with, and I bet Will Shakespeare and Christopher Marlowe had good times. A cocktail party with the Gods of Olympus might be fun. And I would love to have worked besides Vita Sackville-West as she created the gardens at Sissinghurst. And...sigh...if only I'd known Matthew Broderick in the early 80s...and there's one other person I'd really like to meet, but he doesn't seem to be on MySpace(which just makes me want to meet him more).
That said, I do enjoying meeting new people...so say hi, if you want--I'll be happy to hear from you. If we know each other in the "real world", consider yourself added to my Friends. And as long as you are a "real" person, and not some spammer trying to get me to look at your porn/product, I'll be glad to get to know you, too!

You are mild-mannered, good, strong and you love to help others.
A FIREMAN came home from work one day and told his wife, 'You know, we have a wonderful system at the fire station: BELL 1 rings and we all put on our jackets, BELL 2 rings and we all slide down the pole, BELL 3 rings and we're on the fire truck ready to go.
From now on when I say BELL 1 I want you to strip naked.
When I say BELL 2 I want you to jump in bed.
And when I say BELL 3 We are going to make love all night.
' The next night he came home from work and yelled ' BELL 1!' The wife promptly took all her clothes off.
When he yelled 'BELL 2!', the wife jumped into bed.
When he yelled 'BELL 3!', they began making love.
After a few minutes the wife yelled 'BELL 4!' 'What the hell is BELL 4?' asked the husband?
'ROLL OUT MORE HOSE,' she replied ' YOU'RE NOWHERE NEAR THE FIRE. '
One day Superman was feeling a bit horny. So, he began to ask his super hero friends for ideas on where he could get a bit of action.
"Hey Batman! Who's good in the sack?"
"Well Superman, everyone knows that Wonder Woman is the best sex in Comicland.
Why don't you try her?" replied Batmam.
"I'd love to, but Wonder Woman and I are friends. So I don't really want to take advantage of her."
"Damn shame," said Batman as he waved good-bye to Superman and drove off.
Ten minutes later Superman was flying low over a city when he saw the Green Lantern patching up a building. He flew down. "Hey Hal, I'm looking for a little action. You're a swinging bachelor, who's the best babe in comic land?"
"Hey, Superman! Everyone knows that Wonder Woman is far and away the best lay in Comic land, why don't you try her?"
"Well, we're sort of friends," Superman said, "but I didn't realize she had gotten around so much" and he flew off in frustration.
Twenty minutes later Superman was flying over a field when he saw Wonder Woman lying naked, in the middle of the field, with her legs apart and up in the air. Superman was tempted. He thought to himself, "I'm faster than a speeding bullet, I can be in and out of there before she even knows I'm here."
So with a blur and a sonic boom he was down, in and gone.
Wonder Woman stared up into the sky with a dazed expression.
"What the hell was that??" she exclaimed.
"I don't know," said the Invisible Man as he rolled off, "but my ass is killing me. "

I wish this clip came out clearer! I remember Beeker's afro haha. My Stat prof. sounds like Prof. Bunson Honeydew. I realized this last night in class when I was being dulled into a coma. Seb asked me if you were joining us for the 4th parade.
I finally checked out the garden blog...LOVE IT!!!! I love how you know the names of all your bloomers(hehe bloomers) sorry, I'm mature. I definitely need to stop by your place and admire things now that the weather isn't frigid like the last time I was over! I am so happy that my ground cover bloomed this year! So purdy, and now my dianthus are craaaazy!!! I'll have to take some pictures after I mow the jungle(lawn) Hopefully I'll be able to start the weed whacker..I hate that damn thing. That's one time I need a man around hehe. Ok, off to mow. Hope to hear from you/see you sooner rather than later!
I haven't seen you forever! Even though we converse via Calvin emails and somewhat keep on top of one another's goings on, we still need to hang soon. Let's plan something! If I don't see you before the July 4th parade, we will definitely have to go together again! I can't believe it's coming up so soon! Argh!
