Built between 1837 and 1845 for the Governor of New South Wales, Government House is the most sophisticated Gothic Revival building in the state. Explore the historic interiors with their exceptional collections of colonial and contemporary art, craft and design.

Meet the musicians
The garden gazebo comes alive with Gramophone Man playing hits from his collection of 78s records on a fabulous brass gramophone. The bands will stop by throughout the day for a chat and to play their favourite tunes from the 1920s.

How to get to Government House
Government House is located in the Royal Botanic Gardens in central Sydney. The House can be accessed from Macquarie Street at the intersection with Bridge Street, by the Conservatorium of Music.
It is a 10 minute walk from Circular Quay ferry and train station and a similar distance from Martin Place train station.
There is no public parking available.
