“I heard him from the on-air studio and immediately had to come out to our green room to check out the awesome sound I was hearing…which doesn’t happen often for me." - Chris Rozak (WEND Midday On-Air Talent)
“Gareth’s live performances have always knocked me out! His passion and emotion have absolutely been captured on ‘I’m The Earth’…can’t stop listening to it!”
- Dean Roland (Collective Soul)
"Gareth is one of a kind. A lot of artists are just good at one thing; either they're a great singer, a great musician, a great songwriter or a great performer. But Gareth shines in all of these aspects. When you’re listening to his music, it's like he's telling you a story of your life and when you see him perform, you can see the passion he has for his music. Everyone should give him a chance, because it's only a matter of time before he's up there with guys like Ray LaMontagne and Amos Lee."
- Mark Gray (WRFX Asst. Promotion Director)
"Gareth has the most soulful voice I have ever heard. The first time I heard his music I just had to stop and take it in. I imagine that is what it was like for those who heard Ray Charles or John Lennon for the first time."
- Holly Firfer (92.9 Dave FM On-Air, Good Day Atlanta)
“When you listen to Gareth Asher or see him perform live, it’s a religious experience. The lyrics he sings and the music he plays are the verses that we all feel, but are not able to express. He’s a truly captivating artist & musician.”
- Shelia Taylor (WEND Promotions Director)
“Gareth has the unique ability walk on stage with nothing more than a guitar and create an entire event. You can’t help but be blown away by his pure, raw talent.”
- Dutch (Everything Alternative 99X)
“Gareth is as good a singer songwriter there is...His songs are sung with passion and pain that transcends the audience into relatable places in their mind. Gareth's vocal ability sets him apart from others in this genre, and will soon be known nationally as he is locally - that he is a true talent!!”
- Dave Clapper (Director of Marketing/Promotions -Cox Radio Atlanta)
“When you mix his voice, look, stage presence and charisma~ Gareth Asher is the ENTIRE package.
- Nick Tapp (WSRV Promotions Director)
"His experienced words speak volumes, and his songs offer unique stories and passionate messages. I have no doubt Gareth Asher will be a very successful singer/songwriter in the coming years." - Jade Walker Former Overnight Editor/Producer, The New York Times

Biography
On his third independent release, singer-songwriter Gareth Asher is coming to age as a writer, delivering a well-crafted and emotionally charged body of work. This new album, set to release Fall 2009, is intensified with bold electric guitars, steady driving percussion, and balanced with lush string arrangements provided by members of the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra. Asher recorded the album in home town Atlanta, with close friend and brilliant artist Clay Cook (Marshall Tucker Band, Zac Brown Band) once again producing and mixing.
What people are saying about Gareth:
"Gareth has the most soulful voice I have ever heard. The first time I heard his music I just had to stop and take it in. I imagine that is what it was like for those who heard Ray Charles or John Lennon for the first time." - Holly Firfer (92.9 Dave FM On-Air, Atlanta & Company)
As a touring artist, Asher has shared the stage with Shawn Mullins, Glen Philips (o/ Toad the Wet Sprocket), Emerson Hart, Angie Aparo, Corey Smith, Sister Hazel and more.
Born in the small town Bowdon, GA, Gareth Asher was raised on a steady diet of old school funk, rock and soul. Asher attributes many of his musical sensibilities to monumental artists like Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins, and groups like Chicago. As a writer, he respects the work of iconic performing songwriters like Jackson Browne, Otis Redding, and Don Henley and The Eagles.
"I feel like my shell is finally cracking, and the best songs are starting to emerge on this new record. All my inner most thoughts and emotions are breaking through to the surface, and insisting on a ray of light to shine down", says Asher.
