Latest of these is BJ, Gareth and Deke: a trio with Pedal Steel Guitar Genius BJ Cole and Deke Martin on upright bass.
a musical collaboration that draws on Blue Eyed Soul, Swinging Jazz, Searing Swamp Blues, Up-Town Country and Haunting Balladry
BJ Cole has taken the Pedal Steel Guitar to unfamiliar places in his work with artists as diverse as Devon Sproule, Luke Vibert, Solal, Elton John, Emmylou Harris, Western Swing supremos Los Pistoleros and classical cellist Emily Burridge.
Gareth and BJ are joined on Double Bass by Deke Martin; Upright and Electric bass player with Too Country, and much in demand for session and live work.
Venues we have played or are playing soon include The Luminaire, the Notting Hill Arts Club, What’s Cookin’, The Golden Lion in Camden, The Green Note, The Millfield Theatre the Zebra Bar.
Our repertoire is an eclectic mix of neatly crafted original songs, deliciously obscure covers and alternative takes on songs you thought you knew…
