Since then, with the help of
Mike Spencer (Jamiroquai/Kylie/Newton Faulkner) and between New York, London and Coventry, I've recorded and produced my debut album. In Dallas, directed by the sublime
Evan Kaufmann, I shot the video to
'Take and Take'. And with a myriad of talented artists, I've performed in amongst other places
Nashville, Tennessee.
Things over the last year haven't gone quite as smoothly as they might appear however...
After signing an agreement to release and market my record via Sony BMG, RTEL records are now looking for an alternative supporter, since relationship did not in fact prove fruitful.
In short it's been a frustrating and at times depressing 12 months. But life goes on. More to the point music goes on. And even closer to the nub of things - my music must go on - because it is what defines me.
In light of this realisation, and the understanding that the music industry is in the middle of a massive change, I continue forward in hope. It is as I've said - all there is to do.
And so it is with great pride and not a little determination, that i present the new look Garfield Mayor machine... Brought to you with the tireless help of one of the UK's most up-and-coming designers - Ranjit Puwar - we have out new logo our new look MySpace and our brand new OFFICIAL MERCHANDISE STORE over at Zazzle
There's so much more I could say, but instead I'm going leave it to you to find out if you want to. To all my incredible fans: THANK YOU!
Without your unrelenting support I would not be writing these words... You are the best an artist could hope for. :)
Right - enough of the talk... I'm off to make some more music! Cheers g x
