Rory Garforth & Adam Myers – Contemporary and Unique Folk music from Yorkshire, England.
Rory Garforth (Hotel Brown) and Adam Myers (Tiny Little Secrets) have put their songwriting heads together to create a dark and uniquely immersing sound.
In addition to singer / songwriter/ guitarists Adam Myers and Rory Garfoth, the band features the instrumental and production skills of Andy Seward and Keith Angel; perhaps best known for their work with such folk / roots luminaries as Jon Boden , Kate Rusby, Martin Simpson, John Tams, Chris Drever et al. ..
The influences are many & varied and include; John Martyn, Bert Jansch, Kate Bush, Scott Walker, Neil Young, White Album period Beatles, Tim Buckley.
Demo recordings were made in 2008 which attracted the attention of Keith & Andy and a decision was immediately made to record an album. The first fruits of these labours will be released in the form of a four track promo cd available at the beginning of October ’09 either at gigs or by contacting the band direct via MySpace, website etc and Garfoth & Myers will be gigging from September onwards.

Hi, I got home from a very hectic day, found your offer and had a quick listen but I felt to have another one after a cup of tea and a bite to eat. Then your songs sounded a lot different and I really could enjoy these atmospheric tunes and you can imagine that I love the shots for the covers. Good work, whoever has done them.
