You scored as Cultural Creative. Cultural Creatives are probably the newest group to enter this realm. You are a modern thinker who tends to shy away from organized religion but still feels as if there is something greater than ourselves. You are very spiritual, even if you are not religious. About me: ..
..
I was born on August 24th, 1964 on a warm morning at Manchester Hospital in Connecticut. It was a Monday, a day like any other day, but I entered a new situation and must of thought "here I am.....okay...."
I grew up in a little town called Willington about 30 minutes northeast of Hartford and a few minutes from the University of Connecticut. I was a precocious kid and very happy until I was about 8. That's when my mother first got sick. After that, I started questioning more about the purpose of life. No one in that little town seemed to have any answers, although it sure seemed like a relevant question to me. Like before I do anything man, who the hell am I for starters? Unfortunately for me (actually them), people looked at me like I was crazy. Who is really crazy, is what I couldn't help but think. Anyway, those kind of thoughts, which I pretty much have had since I was 5, have been the underlying and driving force of my life to this day.
In my so-called humble opinion, I've had an interesting journey up until now. I have resided in the Gainesville Florida area since 1993 and have lived and/or traveled in the Caribbean, South America, Europe, India, and all over the U.S. and Canada. I’ve probably driven two million miles or so in this lifetime. But as the great band The Band once said, “This living off the road is getting pretty old.”
I don't know where to start, but suffice it to say, I am very grateful for being surrounded by wonderful people. My wife Glani is from Brazil and is currently studying to be a nurse. She's a Type-A personality who works hard and loves all sorts of beauty, especially nature. She’s an ocean child who is pretty, intelligent and intense. I have a calmer demeanor. We are both natural leaders; never blind followers.
My son Shyam is 18 and has mad, off-the–chart soccer skills. For the last decade he has been training to fulfill his dream of becoming a pro soccer player. This August he will play his first game of Division I soccer, as his team, Florida Gulf Coast, flies north to start their season against Ohio State and Penn State. He has a serious demeanor and a witty sense of humor. He has a weighted GPA of 4.5
My daughter Radha is 16 and is an aspiring actress and film buff. She’s a rebel, with piercing observational skills and hates hypocrisy of all kinds. She doesn’t hesitate to use expletives at the slightest opportunity. She is pretty and exotic-looking, being half-East Indian. She loves to act and performs in dramas in and out of school regularly. She is bit of a TV and movie junkie who loves old movies as well as new ones and has many friends; mostly older.
My stepson Govinda is 22 years old. He has the same birthday as my son Shyam and a similar GPA. . He has been an architecture student at UF for the last few years and was selected as top ten in his class for pin-up. He’s a world traveler and surfer who visits his father twice a year in Hawaii to hit the North Shore.
I am very close to my younger brother Kesi (by 15 months). He is a great artist and sculptor, as well as music and media aficionado. His wife Veronica is also a great artist and painter. She was a child prodigy of sorts from the Ukraine. My nephew Kavi follows in his father's footsteps when it comes to art and generally gets the lead at every play he gets involved with.
My mother died when I was 14. I was very close to her. My father is 84 now and lives near Orlando. His mind is sharp and he is a rare comedic talent who could have given Rodney Dangerfield a good run for his money if he had not missed his calling. He is a very sweet and generous man. I have three older sisters who all live in Connecticut, Patty, Linda and Lorna. They are all around 60. They used to cart me around in my pajamas in department stores when I was a toddler. They ignored my protests for not dressing me properly in public. I see them rarely, although we have remained close. From them, I have lots of other nephews and nieces.
My wife's mother Maria is a nurse who takes care of elderly people. She is a whirlwind cleaning machine who can't sit still for a second. If she’s comes into our kitchen when I’m cooking, she cleans the utensils and puts them away before I’m done using them. She has been very supportive to my wife and me.
I give Vedic Astrology and Tarot readings. Recently, I owned an alternative gift store called Shakti Imports for four years in downtown Gainesville. I have been a vegetarian since I was 15 and have been chanting Hare Krishna for almost 30 years. I re-entered the school force two years ago to get myself a career. I am Journalism major but think I may decide to teach and study Philosophy and Creative Writing.
I love sports and music. I really love to write and would be happy to become a decent poet some day. This class has been inspirational to me.
Well, as Bob Dylan once said, “It’s time for my boot heels to be wandering.” I hope you liked my chapbook and quasi-bio.

Who I'd like to meet: Anyone like-minded. Authors and writers who may be able to give me some guidance and/or inspiration in my pursuit of becoming a better writer would be great. Any of my "heroes" would be exciting also, but I can't justify going out of my way to say hello to a famous person whose precious private life is probably always being infringed upon anyway. I believe we meet whoever we meet in this lifetime, in due course, as preordained by karma and the Supreme controller of karma. Therefore whoever I meet each day of my routine life is perfect. Ordinary (whatever that word means to you) people are very interesting to me. If I would just get off my butt and write about them more, then I would be able to share my experiences with many people for years to come. Of course when extraordinary people come along I hope I will have the intelligence to write something meaningful about them as well. Actually,I've had a few lovely dreams of Srila Prabhupada. I would love to see him again in a dream, but the thought of it makes me a little nervous.

Joe McCain, stuck in traffic in front of a drawbridge, dials 911 and angrily curses out police operator for the delay. Cookoo! I guess temper issues run in the family. I'd love to cast this guy in a 50s era sci-fi as Zolkan, high commander of the invading Belzanoid fleet. He definitely looks as if he's only pretending to be human.
I don't know what drives me, I don't have a clue, but I'm driven more today than I ever have been. And, since we share a birthday, I'll bet you are too!
Hats off, baba, hats off. I could not and did not watch the destruction. But we'll back next year, we'll be back. And when that happens, it's on again! Sleep well my friend, sleep well.
