Gargleblast Studios is a recording facility and rehearsal studio run by Gargleblast Records. We are based in Hamilton, Scotland, 15 mins from Glasgow city centre. RECORDING rates are £150 weekdays and £200 Saturday/Sunday.

RECORDING STUDIO
Our newly built recording studio opened in August 2009, and features an array of high-end outboard gear from API, Empirical Labs, Universal Audio, TLAudio, Focusrite, Line6 to name a few. We have microphones by Neumann, Coles, Shure (SM7), Beyer, AKG, Audio-Technica and many more. Our engineer Andy Miller has produced many classic records in this studio, including albums by Mogwai, Sons and Daughters, De Rosa, Scout Niblett, Life Without Buildings, My Latest Novel and James Orr Complex.




REHEARSAL STUDIOS
The rehearsal studio has 3 purpose built rooms for hire in 3 hour blocks. Marshall, Ashdown, Peavey and Carlsboro amps are currently available along with Pearl drum kits and a full vocal P.A. We use Shure sm58 vocal mics.



BOOKINGS
REHEARSAL rates are £25 for 3 hour session. £20 weekdays before 6pm.
RECORDING rates are £150 weekdays and £200 Saturday/Sunday.

Opening hours are 9am to midnight. We also have a rehearsal LOYALTY CARD which entitles you 1 FREE session when you complete every 10.
A gear storage room is free to block bookers. Free broadband wireless internet access is available. A spacious TV lounge area is provided with drinks and snacks vending.

We can be easily accessed by road or rail, being conveniently located next to Hamilton West Station. Address - Unit 5c, Peacock Industrial Est, Burnbank Road, Hamilton, ML3 9AY.
By road from Glasgow:
Take the exit at Junction 5 of the M74 southbound. Follow signs for Hamilton. The studio is located behind Sports Max on Burnbank Road.
By train from Glasgow:
Trains run every 15 minutes from Glasgow Central (lower level eastbound) and Argyle Street. Take train to Hamilton West Station. Gargleblast Rehearsals is in the industrial estate situated to the right of the station; at the back overlooking the station platform.
