Born 1982 in Skopje, Garo Tavitjan started playing drums and piano at early age.Garo Tavitjan is most talked about musician on the jazz and world music scene on the Balkan and wider with the countless concert performances around the world. His first contact with drums was through his father Garabet Tavitjan, one of the best drummers on Balkans. He attended music school in Skopje and studied drums, percussions and piano.After finishing music school, he received a fellowship from the prestigious American musical college Berklee College of music in Boston.From early years he was noticed like extraordinary talent and hi-potential musician.He has recorded and appearing and performing at numerous concerts organized within the Skopje music high school by its orchestra, Jazz ensembles, Pop bands etc. Garo Tavitjan received the support and "STATUS INDEPENDENT ARTIST" from the ministry of Culture of Republic of Macedonia. Garo is participating on the Tribute project (album) for Michael Jackson recorded in USA.The band member of the Michael Jackson latest band Morris Pleasure called Tavitjan Brothers to participate in the latest project of Morris Pleasure dedicated to Michael Jackson. He has performances with: Andrea Palazzo,Rhani Krija (Sting),James East,Rosenna Vitro (Jazz Ambasadors),Morris Pleasure (Earth,Wind & Fire),Garabet Tavitjan,Vlatko Stefanovski,Diran Tavitjan,Vasil Hadzimanov,Theodosii Spassov,DadoTopic,Kaliopi,Karolina,Eva,Ron Savage,Larry Monroe,Marko Djordzevich,Dave Weckl and many more. He is composer of the music for the "ALESANDAR VELIKI" dramatic play in theatre. Garo received a number of awards at percussion and drum competitions and festivals while he studied and also awards for the "Best jazz album of the year 2006" called "Personal View" featuring: Garabet Tavitjan,Andrea Palazzo,Vlatko Stefanovski,Diran Tavitjan,Vasil Hadzimanov,Toni Kitanovski,Kaliopi,Eva Nedinkovska,Vasko Bojadziski and more... Since 1997 Tavitian has been an active member of the group 'Garo and Paramecium' as a performer and co-producer and also he has recorded two albums "A bre Makedonche" and "Paramecium Live" With Paramecium, he took participation at a great number of world famouse international festivals in USA,Germany,Holand,Croatia,Serbia,Bulgaria,Greece,Italy,Slovenia,Albania,Armenia... (just to mention the jazz festival 'Lucky Strike' in Belgrade-Sava Centar when he was 17 years old), in the competition of the world greatest jazz musicians such as Joe Zawinull, Chick Corea, Branford Marsallis etc. As a composer, Garo Tavitian is active also in field of electronic and world music with his solo album "Urban Groove" and has collaborated with many pop stars in its local scene.At the moment Tavitian is working as composer and performer with Garo & Paramecium band, also with the famouse Jazz Group " Tavitjan Brothers" featuring his brother Diran Tavitjan (Piano). They released their CD called "Tavitjan Brothers Trio" which is also on international jazz compilation organized by SONY in London UK. The concerts and albums of Garo and Tavitjan Brothers is reviewed in the most popular and famouse magazines such as: Jazz Times,Concerto,American Mirror,Jazz Dimensions,All about jazz,Hr-monitor,Barikada world of music,Bulgarian magazine,Voice of Armenia,Glas Istre,Vecernji List and many more magazines on the Balkan. At the moment he is working on his new album with the Tavitjan Brothers & Garo called "Makedonsko Srce sto cuka vo 7/8" with legendary singers such as : Josipa Lisac,Zeljko Bebek,Massimo Savich,Hari Mata Hari,Tereza Kesovija,Esma,Karolina,Djafer,Goran Bregovich,Goran Karan,Oliver Dragoevic,Antonija Sola,Jelena Tomasevic,Nina Badric,Kaliopi,Vlatko Lozanovski,Sergej Cetkovic & Aki Rakimovski. Гаро,стварно сум изнервиран,шо неможам да го најдам никаде видео клипот на Татко ти од 1995 во Hard Rock од инструменталката Sahara...
Абе го сакатив од барање и не ми се верува дека не можам пак да ја видам таа совршена извадба.
Па ја немам гледано од 1996 еј,беше снимена на VHS,но таа лента ми ја снема...
Тоа солото на гитаристот Игор(мислам дека така се викаше) ,беше навистина спектакуларно и до ден денес ми остана во сеќавање,а by the way ми е Ring Tone на мобилниот...
Мислам дека не барам премногу и би требало ти да го имаш тоа.Знам дека си многу зафатен,но нешто линк од него или upload(зато шо најверојатно го нема тоа) ,многу би ми значело...
