.The music business is in the process of re inventing itself...The inmates have a good chance to run the aslyum again...The records companies probably aren't going to survive...But the music will...(and mankind will probably be much better served!)
Support one another-& support the music....My space and the internet can act in such a way as to promote and get our material out to the public...And CD baby helps us market our music around the music companies. Again, support artists working outside the corporate record scene. You'll find good music from people who will connect with you. This is a great thing for all of us.
The world needs good music now more than ever!
Not that the record companies haven't helped bring some good music in, but they've made some mistakes lately it seems. I have mixed feelings about the corporate scene in the world today, as I believe any thinking person would. Corporations aren't all bad or all good and they're a fact we're all going to have to live with. I'm hoping we can make them better by realizing there are moral imperatives beyond making a profit.

After many bands, many songs, many roads traveled, and many good friends, I've decided to put my own name on a band. My goal is to turn everyone on to good music. This is what I try and do...Just play good songs and give them everything I have. We play a huge variety of music, everything from Chicago Blues, Texas Blues and East coast swing to Reggae, Country, Classic Rock and Roll, Louisiana swamp music- gumbo, zydeco, blues and jazz, R&B, and we've finished working on an CD with original music written entirely by ourselves. http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/GarretFitzgeraldBand1
We treat each song as a story, complete with instrumentation. I play with good people, keep up a good vibe. The song is the thing. Hope you come on out and see us, dance a little and be a friend. We're there to entertain you, to make you forget your troubles, to leave the earth and all its troubles and levitate into a higher sphere of spiritual communalism and sharing. We aim to set the passions free, and to rejoice in the freedom of inter twinning passion. The only thing is life that matters is being joyful in the experience of it, and sharing that joy with others. If you play, bring your instrument and become a friend. Lets learn to love one another, and help one another. We have to overcome ourselves & becoming better people than we are being...
