It was a combination of fate and the help of mutual friends that started The Garrett Heinrichs Band. Garrett Heinrichs, from San Antonio, and Andrew Lewis, from Fort Worth, learned of each other through a mutual acquaintance and began getting together to pick old country and bluegrass songs. It did not take them long to realize that they both had the same vision and passion for music. They soon added a drummer, Chris Young, from Fort Worth, and a lead guitarist from Arlington, Micah Erickson. With Heinrichs singing lead and playing rhythm and Lewis adopting the bass role, the four-piece forged a tight, powerful unit. To say that The Garrett Heinrichs Band is just your typical country-rock band would be inadequate. Between the southern rock and blues backgrounds of Young and Erickson and the country music passion of Heinrichs and Lewis, the band has created a unique sound that has been engaging crowds ever since.
