About me:

My name is Garry Charles and I am a writer of novels and, more recently, screenplays.

My work has a curious habit of swaying towards the dark side of fiction. It's not that I'm a dark person - far from it - I just love to play around with themes and ideas that scare us or fill us with wonder.

My writing career started with the Heaven's Falling books and was followed up with various short stories. Some of these are still available online and in print... At least I think they are.

My latest projects, both due for release this year are...

DEATH TIDE: This new novel is now available as a free pdf download over at www.garrycharles.co.uk.

STRAW MAN: A Screenplay that I wrote with first time director, Andrew Barker. The filming has been completed on this project and is produced by myself and my business partner/wife Paula Charles of Hadesgate Publications.

I'm hoping that 2009 will see more projects finally seeing the light of day and I will update anyone who is interested on a regular basis... If I forget just give me a nudge now and then.

EXECUTIVE GAMES: My latest Screenplay based upon a short story by HELEN TAYLOR has just been optioned. JOHNNY 'THE MAD' KALANGIS is slated to direct. More details to follow. ..
WORKING TITLE: DEATH TUNNEL: The new screenplay is well underway and is already raising interest State Side. Can't say any more at this time, but I'll start shouting as soon as I know more.

Who I'd like to meet:

The only people I'd really like to meet are those I consider close online friends. I can no longer think of one celeb I would be excited about meeting.

Like my new motto states: "I'm not here to make friends... I'm here to do a job."
